Looks like our Islamist rebel friends are about to take over Syria
Assad looks to be surrounded
All the key routes have fallen
They’re advancing....
Utterly disgusting to see what the state department and CIA have done in Syria. Now instead of a strong man keeping things reasonably free and keeping the Islamists under control, we will have an Al-Qaeda Isis nation. This is one of those shameful things America has done in a long time.
Unreal that we and the Israelis flew top cover missions for them.
The one place over there where a female could marry, travel, good a job, get a divorce, dance on Latakia beach while drinking Syrian wine. And we had to ruin it and unleash Isis.
‘If Homs falls, Assad is in deep trouble as Damascus, the seat of his power, will be encircled. It may be too late for Assad’s key allies, Russia and Iran, to come to his rescue, as they did in the past. Assad turned the tide of the war with the support of Russia’s formidable air power, Iranian advisers and fighters from Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed Lebanese movement.
The Syrian military, demoralised, underpaid and exhausted after years of fighting, is unable – and, parts of it, unwilling – to stop the rebels. In some areas, soldiers seem to be defecting or abandoning their positions, contributing to the offensive’s spectacular advance.
Bassar Al Assad has been in power since 2000. Before him, his father, Hafez, ruled for 29 years - and, very much like his son, with an iron fist. The end of the Assad rule may not be a distant reality.’

"But we really screwed Putin! HH HA HA HA HA!"
Any world leader who trusts the word of the United States while Deep State factions still make the real decisions (a situation likely to change only slightly under Trump) is a fool.
Qatar will get its gas pipeline to Europe, now, and the rebels and the insiders will get rich. Life for the non-Islamist peoples of Syria will get much harder.
The Sunni majority has been held in check by the brutality of the Soviet and Russian trained state apparatus since the 1960s. What will follow after this possible victory by the majority and their Turkish sponsors will demonstrate the reality of the “democracy” that Leftists want. Two wolves and a sheep discussing what to have for dinner.
The Russians have had one military base at the port there since about 1970. Our government would literally destroy an entire country, hand Christians and the few remaining Jews in Syria over to the Sunni wolves just to stick it to Russia.
I still can’t get over that we flown top cover for Isis/Al-Qaeda.
It’s pretty obvious this offensive to finally take down Syria was launched to beat the clock before Trump takes office. He wasn’t ever a big fan of the Syria project of Bush and Obama.
So, are we going to have another islamist fundamentalist Afghanistan in the middle east?
Well Said DR you’ve been right about this for years despite the cheerleading for it
The state department have no clue
Your comments are spot on. Add in the current turmoil’s in Romania and Moldova...

Working with Islamic jihadists that formed ISIS led to the capture and murder of several Americans as well as the murders of Christians in both Iraq and Syria.
What will be the cost of this time?
Sounds like it, full jihadi or jihadi-lite.
Another Al-Qaeda vs ISIS?
This is probably what our real motivation in Ukraine is.
Weaken Russia on the world stage where we have been going after them for years.
Iraq, Syria, Libya, Venezuela are all Russian aligned or outright allies as with Syria. All are oil producers.
As we deplete the Russians and sponge up their resources in Ukraine, going after their frontier states becomes easier. Meanwhile we spew crap about how Russia wants to rebuild the Soviet empire or keep invading if we don’t stop them in Ukraine, where in all reality we caused that war.
Win-win. Even if Russia had not reacted, we still would have won, ie. Ukraine is in NATO.
No doubt that the argument of Ukraine giving us a huge bang for the buck is true. But the idea that Ukraine is a winner in all of this, or that it’s moral (our Democracy, human rights, sovereignty talk) is all trash.
This is probably what Ukraine was all about all along.
@realDonaldTrump
Opposition fighters in Syria, in an unprecedented move, have totally taken over numerous cities, in a highly coordinated offensive, and are now on the outskirts of Damascus, obviously preparing to make a very big move toward taking out Assad. Russia, because they are so tied up in Ukraine, and with the loss there of over 600,000 soldiers, seems incapable of stopping this literal march through Syria, a country they have protected for years. This is where former President Obama refused to honor his commitment of protecting the RED LINE IN THE SAND, and all hell broke out, with Russia stepping in. But now they are, like possibly Assad himself, being forced out, and it may actually be the best thing that can happen to them. There was never much of a benefit in Syria for Russia, other than to make Obama look really stupid. In any event, Syria is a mess, but is not our friend, & THE UNITED STATES SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT. THIS IS NOT OUR FIGHT. LET IT PLAY OUT. DO NOT GET INVOLVED!
Suburbs are falling ... statues being torn down ..
