Protein has become a major focus in the American diet, and for good reason. Research shows that protein is essential for maintaining a healthy immune system, supporting weight management, and improving body composition. It's no wonder many of us are looking for ways to incorporate more healthy proteins into our daily meals.

Flawed list. No red meat.

Thankfully I had a successful hunt this year and now I have a freezer full of free range, grass fed, organic, Elk.

My doctor hates eggs and milk, but luckily gives me a script for rovustatin (sic?) to fight off my “excess cholesterol.”

For a long while my wife would only buy “Egg Beaters” liquid egg whites in a small carton, and skim milk. (that thin blue crap.)

I tossed the statin away, and I ONLY have regular complete eggs — which I have quite a few of each week, and full-fat “Red Cap” milk.

Result? My Evil colesterol DROPPED twenty points — and never was high at all. Ever.

Doc sez, “That can’t be...” (But sez I need the statin, anyway...)

(This is NOT medical advice. Your ass is in your own hands and discretion.)

Vegan crappola. Like slowly dripping commie trash into a political system, this crappola sneaks in under cover of actual protein.

Specifically Grass-Fed Beef.

Exactly.

1/4 of a pasture-raised cow on it's way to my freezer right now!

No protein doesn't cause problems in healthy people but if you already have kidney problems you have to restrict it.

Most store beef is corn fattened crap.

I have the luxury of eating what I raise and slaughter. The difference is the difference between wonder bread and bread your grandma baked.

Some sites do say that, but you’d have to eat fish.

Red, grass-fed meat is now listed as a "super-food" by several diet gurus. I was shocked when I read this.

It seems only a few years ago that all read meat was called a "carcinogen."

I make bi annual trips to the Gulf and come back with dry ice packed tuna, red fish, and grouper.

Fantastic stuff. And I am a rancher.

For a guy with tons of tanks filled with bass and catfish, I can’t stand either. Nasty tasting.

I love tuna steaks. When Fry’s (Kroger) has them on sale, I ask the meat department guy to get me a couple from the freezer so I can thaw them right before I cook them.

No bacon?

1.) Cut tuna steaks into even chunks
2.) Sprinkle lightly with garlic salt
3.) Wrap chunks with bacon (use toothpicks)
4.) Grill (mesquite charcoal is excellent)
