Esquire publishes screed against Republicans with such an unbelievable error it had to be completely deleted

While Americans on both sides of the political aisle debate whether President Joe Biden should have pardoned his son, one entry into the discourse made an astoundingly embarrassing error.

The Esquire magazine article by Charles P. Pierce lambasted Republicans for criticizing Biden based on the historical precedent of Republican former President George H.W. Bush pardoning his own son Neil Bush. The problem is that this incident never happened. It's completely fabricated.

While things like this come as no surprise to many on FR, it is good to continually point it out.

Its also why the Sullivan decision needs to be revisited, imho.

Since basic fact checking (for example on who pardoned who) takes less than a minute these days those kinds of “errors” look a lot like malice.

Lib rags rely on it's idiot readers to NOT fact check anything they say and to just lap it up by the fist full.

Nobody should be surprised, the liberal media is based on fabricated stories.

This will now be repeated by the mindless hoardes that still believe Trump praised racists, had hookers urinate on a bed for him and told people to inject themselves with bleach.

Meanwhile, I am sure the article failed to point out Bill Clinton pardoning his brother Roger.......

Esquire. Read them often in the 1960s. They printed, in those days, an alternate Constitution of the US back then. No President but a “Mr Chairman” and no 2nd Amendment.

In 1980, the had an article on how Ronald Reagan would not live out his term. They showed an illustration of a dead Reagan on a hospital gurney.
That is all one needs to know about Esquire.

'Newsweek had to retract one quote from a source in an article after it was discovered that the source was actually a parody account on social media.'

I wonder if AI is causing a lot of this. I've seen search engine AIs that got things all wrong.

The only person who likely ever pardoned Neil Bush, was me in 1989 when he almost hit me with his car in a parking lot. I was walking and he backed out to where I needed to jog to miss him. His SS agent jumped out of his follow car and eyeballed me as if I had done something wrong. Neil rolled down his window and apologized profusely. Pardoned! 😜

It is cute the way they use Large Language Models to write articles and still expect them to have a thin thread of reality in them.

Charlie the Nitwit probably checked his "article" by asking it if the article was correct and the Large Language Model said "of course. Would I lie to you?"

Of course this can not be all blamed on LLM. The media has been lying it fool butt off for decades.

It is just easier to fact check them now.
