Washington Commanders managing partner Josh Harris and the NFL Commanders ownership group have agreed to un-cancel the Redskins (the iconic Blackfoot chief logo) history.
In a post on Facebook by Republican Montana Sen. Steve Daines, the Congressman wrote that “The censorship of the former Commanders logo was a classic case of woke gone wrong. I applaud the Commanders & the NFL for their commitment to never censor the logo again.”

Go Steve!
I know a guy who always wears Redskins shirts , he’ll be very happy to buy some new ones ,LOL
I might buy some myself......it’s just a cool logo.
Cowboys vs Commanders just doesn’t sound the same................
Correct!
Ping!.................
So they will be the Commanders with the old Redskins logo?
They’re still the ‘Skins. That much hasn’t changed.
Agree......hopefully they go back to the name. But I get it......”commanders” was probably as close as they could to something remotely resembling the original without the wokers getting their pretty panties in a knot.
Now let’s do the same for the Cleveland Indians.
I call them the “Washington Commies.”
A Washington Post poll, maybe 10-15 years ago, of Native Americans found that 90% either supported Native American names and images for sport’s teams, or were not bothered by it. It is white liberals driving the outrage.
The Post journalists admitted being stunned by the results. The blue bubble most of the media lives in has no relation to the real world.
Redneck = ok
Seems I have it wrong. They are just lifting the blackout on the old Redskins logo in their history.
Why not just cancel the Commanders and go back to the Washington Redskins.
Word.
for now....let’s hope they go back to the skins. Trump is one magnificent bastard. The ripple effect is amazing. Woke is uncool now.
I guess “Braves” is already taken.
