Former President Bill Clinton is still reminiscing about his affair with Monica Lewinsky, a White House intern 27 years his junior.
Clinton was asked during an interview on CBS News Sunday Morning about his decision to once again revisit the sex scandal in his new memoir, Citizen—set to be released on Nov. 19.
Referring to the affair in the book, Clinton reportedly said, “I live with it all the time,” and praised Lewinsky’s work on bullying. “I wish her nothing but the best.”
On Sunday, CBS journalist Tracy Smith asked Clinton why he decided to bring up Lewinsky nearly three decades after the affair and his subsequent impeachment.
In response, Clinton said he “thought” he needed to speak up about the fling.
“I wanted to be as helpful as I could to let her turn the page,” the 42nd president said paradoxically as mentioning the scandal only reignited public attention to it.
“And I think she should be given a chance to build a life that is about her and the future and not you know being whiplashed into an old story,” Clinton continued.
According to The Guardian’s review of the book, Clinton also described his frustration during a 2018 NBC News interview when pressed on whether he had apologized to Lewinsky directly.
“I said, ‘No, I felt terrible then.’ ‘Did you ever apologize to her?’ I said that I had apologized to her and everybody else I wronged,” Clinton wrote.
“I was caught off guard by what came next,” he added, “‘But you didn’t apologize to her, at least according to folks that we’ve talked to.’ I fought to contain my frustration as I replied that while I’d never talked to her directly, I did say publicly on more than [one] occasion I was sorry.”

I would bet you anything, Bill Clinton and Monica have been in touch since the Monica Lewinsky scandal of the late ‘90’s.
Both need constant attention, are vain enough to think the other person cannot do without them. Both love to stir the pot and take risks.
At very least, Monica may have ‘liked’ something Bill posted on Facebook, or vice versa.
They are bonded in sleezy behavior forever.

He had no shame in any of it. Totally turned it into ‘Republicans have a ‘thing’ about sex’.
The thing that I find truly repulsive about this is that he didn’t really have an affair with the young gal, there were no hidden dinners, no glamorous hotel rooms, no rollicking in bed with champagne and strawberries, as far as I know they were never even naked together, she was used like a minor kitchen appliance to service him.
Affairs are wrong but at least they are a relationship of a sort that two adults can share for whatever reasons, this wasn’t an affair between the President of the United States and the intern when she serviced him in his office by the coffee maker and under the desk while fully clothed.
That looks like the makings of some fine pork sausage to me. I don’t think I’d eat it though.

Using his power as president to commit what I consider sexual abuse of 21 year old woman in the Oval Office is not running around on Hillary. It’s a disgusting and criminal abuse of power.
Bill Clinton is a narcissist and a pathological liar. He has no innate sense of right and wrong. He mouths what he sees other people expect to hear.
My guess is whenever he looks back on Monica Lewinsky he has a warm and fuzzy day dream. His only regret is the regret of getting caught.

That is very true. He is a vile disgusting person who has abused multiple women. It's not right to call them affairs because he didn't love any of them, he only loves himself.
I was being a bit facetious in my post, as any normal man would run screaming from Hillary..

I understand that. It’s just that the man disgusts me so thoroughly. As far as he and Hillary are concerned I believe that’s been a business arrangement from the beginning.
I think he means he fantasizes about it all the time.
