Paxton accuses Dr. M. Brett Cooper, an associate professor of pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center who also practiced at Children's Medical Center Dallas, of prescribing various levels of testosterone cypionate to 15 patients between the ages of 14 and 17. Most patients listed in the lawsuit were between 16 and 17 years old.
In the 34-page lawsuit filed in Collin County, Paxton calls Cooper a “scofflaw” and “radical gender activist” — a reprisal of similar labels he used in his first two lawsuits against Dr. May Lau of UT Southwestern and Dr. Hector Granados of El Paso.
Paxton has said the state “is cracking down” on doctors who provide treatment to children experiencing gender dysphoria despite the state’s ban, which took effect Sept. 1, 2023. The law calls for the Texas Medical License to revoke the medical licenses of physicians who violate it.
Paxton said Cooper has prescribed hormone treatment to patients as recently as Sept. 25, and that patients filled prescriptions as recently as Oct. 8.
“Despite the enactment of the law, Cooper continues to prescribe and distribute cross-sex hormones to his minor patients for the purposes of transitioning their biological sex or affirming their belief that their gender identity or sex is consistent with their biological sex,” he wrote in the suit.
Paxton also accuses Cooper of misrepresenting diagnoses and billing codes through diagnoses such as “precocious puberty” or “endocrine disorder” to treat patients for gender dysphoria.

These monsters should be locked up for long prison sentences for what they’re doing to minor children. These are chemical neuterings and spayings in many cases, and the’s before we get into the really nasty aspects of the Orwellianly named so-called “gender affirming care.”
I pray that when the history of the trans craze is written, it’ll make lobotomy look sane.
For future votes.
History will look back upon the doctors who are surgically and chemically sterilizing and genitally mutilating children in the same way as we look at NAZI doctors like Joseph Mengele now.
Some of us already do.
I’m no doctor but don’t think giving hormones to a person underage is not the way to treat mental illness, just guessing.
Paxton is putting his money where his mouth is.
So what’s the treason?
The docs flouting the laws
Well, it’s illegal, but I don’t know if it could be called *treason*.
Paxton is the man!
I will never understand how “surgically and chemically sterilizing and genitally mutilating children” became “gender affirming care.”
I grew up on a ranch and learned to give gender affirming care to calves (turning bulls into steers) when I was still a kid. Only we didn’t call it “gender affirming care,” we called it castration.
Comparing these quacks to the Nazi doctors is no exaggeration. Trying to chemically change a kid’s sex is on a par with the more bizarre Nazi “medical experiments.”
“The law calls for the Texas Medical License to revoke the medical licenses of physicians who violate it.”
Agree that it’s sick, but it’s also TOTALLY IDIOTIC to put your license on the line for that crap. Perhaps if he loses his Texas license he can move to California or some other state into that crap, but still, they’d likely have to make some kind of exception to license him there. Just IDIOTIC.
These so-called doctors are the intended targets of my current tagline. The mutilations happening to the children should be subject to the death penalty of the perpetrators.
Good for him.
Up there with Donald Trump, Ronald Reagan, Ron DeSantis, Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Ben Carson, Chris Kyle and Marcus Luttrell.
To hide what they are doing. The left uses euphemisms to disguise what they don't want you to think too hard about.
Abortion = reproductive rights
Surgery and hormones = gender affirming "care"
Justice involved individuals = criminals who broke the law
On Japan's Unit 731, and likely why Big Med wasn't worried...
