Have they ever lowered the specs you need to install Windows 11? Only one of my laptops can install it the rest are limited to W10

No. I would consider Linux.

I am in the same boat, with same version of Brave - no longer updates in Win 7. I have not decided to update to Win11. Meanwhile, for some websites, I have had to revert, for those websites, to using Firefox, which does do its latest updates to Win7 machines.
If I was really “brave” I’d shift altogether to Linux, to the latest Brave and to Office Libre; quiting MS altogether.

That’s the last version Windows 7 can use. Anything after that you need Windows 10 or higher. It sucks, I know, because I use Brave on Windows 7 as well.

I dualbooted my PC with W7and W10, but eventually I will reinstall Linux and tri-boot my PC again with Mint. That way, yes, you’d be able to get the latest Brave updates as well as use Libre Office.

...the latest most up to date Windows 7 version of the web browser Brave... I doubt very much that Brave is still releasing for Windows 7. Frankly if they are, they should be ashamed of themselves. Windows 7 should NEVER be used for web activities, even with Brave as the browser.
That said, I'll ping the WindowsPingList folks for you, but really, at least get a copy of Win10, and reserve your Win7 for strictly offline activities.

Brave browser for ... YIKES! Windows 7 ?? ... PING!
You can find all the Windows Ping list threads with FR search: just search on keyword "windowspinglist". Thanks to Red Badger for the ping!
Please DO NOT use Windows 7 for web browsing or other internet activities, even with Brave.

IF my understanding is correct, Win 11 would itself have to be heavily modified to run on a machine as far back as a typical Win 7 machine.

My laptop came with Windows 10, but it’s not able to be upgraded to Windows 11. Not that old maybe 3 years old.

Office Libre is a RAM hog.
I use both, but OpenOffice is my daily office suite.
