Marn'i Washington, wanting to set the record straight, blasted FEMA's suggestion that she had made an independent, managerial decision telling staff to skip pro-Trump households. She said that this was a mischaracterization of what happened. Rather, it's standard protocol that even extends beyond Florida, Washington retorted, like the Carolinas.

At a very minimum, her accusations are worth investigating. If she can come forward with piles of proof that it was pervasive across the nation, and even across other administrative bodies, I'd be all for granting her some mercy, and maybe even letting her keep her pension.
She should be offered a reduced sentence if she names names and turns state’s witness.
Right now all we have are the texts that refer to the orders given. Sounds like some of the field workers were covering their butts or had a conscience.
Looks to me that program needs to be brought back. "I was only following orders" wasn't a valid excuse then. It is not a valid excuse now.
You know, that's an excellent suggestion. Someone in Washington DC should ask them. We could call it "oversight".
Call it;
‘Nuremberg 2.0.’
Drag her before a committee?
She’s alleging civil rights violation on a massive scale.
People may have died because of this policy.
That’s criminal, not just political.
I think I heard that congress is investigating this.
I have no doubt that she is telling the truth as it was obvious that they were doing the same thing in NC, at the least. I'm sure there will be some resignations before Trump takes office, and some firings after he takes office.
I think Marn’i has decided if she’s going down , she’s taking a lot of people with her.
I believe her. She doesn’t deny doing it, she is saying this crime goes all the way to the top. It is standard policy from the top to discriminate. We knew Biden and Harris was behind it...
She should name names. That is the only way I would believe her.
Her bosses will respond with, “Safety first” and “We have to trust the people on the ground. But we never make ‘blanket political statements.”
Ms. Washington is angry that she got caught and fired. But, she has to realize by now that she is going to be hung out to dry because no one told her specifically to avoid Trump homes.
The truth of the matter is that the feeling of “threatend safety” was likely “pre-suggested” and they found what they were looking for.
She needs to provide evidence.
Even if she’s exaggerating, use her. She’s the perfect tool for shaping up this agency. It’s a good thing if people at FEMA are worried about whistleblowers. Then, they’ll follow orders instead of engaging in subversion.
When the people fear government there is tyranny when the government fears the people there’s liberty.
That means nothing will happen. Trump will have to do it himself AGAIN.
If trump actually cleans up the DOJ then I think congress will have a lot more power to actually take action.
So should this be considered a hate crime? I remember when Kamala did a photo op with FEMA workers in DC when the flooding started. She was surrounded by, I would estimate thirty to forty employees. There was ONE white person way in the back . I remember thinking, does FEMA only hire minorities.
Personally, the House needs to investigate this and not let it slide. If even partially true, and the system log notes she refers to and the directives, should be able to be searched, then FEMA needs to be totally reorganized by Congress so this kind of thing never ever happens again.
