The response to the re-election of Donald Trump to the presidency reminds me nothing more than the response of disobedient teenagers upon finding out their father is pulling into the driveway.
Consider:
- Putin says western civilization is not an enemy In a recent address at the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi, Russian President Vladimir Putin articulated his perspective on Western civilization, stating that Russia does not perceive it as an adversary. He emphasized that, unlike some Western elites who adopt an "us versus them" approach, Russia does not view Western civilization as an enemy.
- Mexico is starting to secure the border. Mexico initiated its most extensive migration crackdown to date. This operation involved transporting non-Mexican migrants to the country's southern regions and implementing numerous detentions and administrative measures. These actions, partly influenced by U.S. pressure, aim to mitigate the impact of migration on the upcoming U.S. presidential election and reduce the flow of migrants toward the U.S. border.
- China wants peaceful coexistence and respects the choice of the American people Following the U.S. presidential election on November 6, 2024, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning stated, "We will continue to approach and handle China-U.S. relations based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation."
- Inflation is looking like it will ease. As of November 9th, global inflation rates are showing signs of decline. The IMF anticipates a decrease from 6.7% in 2023 to 5.8% in 2024, suggesting that efforts to control price increases are yielding results. This downward trend in inflation is expected to alleviate cost-of-living pressures and support consumer spending.
- New York City is removing incentives for illegal immigrants to remain. Mayor Eric Adams’ administration plans to stop giving prepaid debit cards to migrant families in New York City, ending a pilot program conservative critics have fiercely attacked.
- The European Union want to buy LN2 from us instead of Russia On November 8, 2024, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen proposed to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump that the EU could replace Russian LNG imports with those from the U.S., highlighting the potential for cost savings and enhanced energy security.
- Putin takes Trumps promise to end the Ukraine war very seriously and supports the idea. Russian President Vladimir Putin has publicly acknowledged and expressed support for former U.S. President Donald Trump's commitment to ending the Ukraine conflict. During a news conference at the BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia, Putin stated, "What Mr. Trump said recently, what I heard, [is] he spoke about the desire to do everything to end the conflict in Ukraine. It seems to me that he said it sincerely."
- Stock Market and Crypto hit astounding all time highs. The S&P 500, a broad measure of U.S. equities, closed above 6,000 for the first time on November 8, 2024, marking a significant milestone.
- New York Governor Kathy Hochul reverses her original confrontational tone: Democrat Gov. Kathy Hochul (D-NY) called President-elect Donald Trump to “reaffirm” how they can work together despite warning she would not play nice with him just days earlier. A day after Trump won the election in a sweeping victory, Hochul, along with New York Attorney General Letitia James, promised to fight back against any potential "revenge or retribution” now that the incoming 47th president is back in the White House. However, as I reported earlier this week, Trump lawyer Mike Davis offered a grim warning before they violate “Trump’s constitutional rights or any other American’s Constitutional rights.” After that, it took no time for Hochul to straighten up. She called Trump to have a “very cordial” talk and tell him she would work with him on issues facing her state.
- FBI Director Chris Wray makes for the hills: Unconfirmed reports indicate FBI Director Christopher Wray will retire ahead of President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Many have speculated in recent days that he would be fired once Trump is back in the Oval Office. Wray was involved in multiple incidents that hampered the first Trump administration as well as efforts to assist the Democrats’ campaigns over the past four years.
- A Mexican illegal immigrant caravan starts to dissipate: A caravan of thousands of migrants traveling through Mexico with the hope of reaching the U.S. had shrunk to about half its original size on Thursday as many migrants grapple with their prospects following former U.S. President Donald Trump's victory in Tuesday's election.
All of these developments, and rumors of a change of heart in the Houthis and the Taliban, point to a much safer, stable, and prosperous world. It's rather amusing (at least to me) to see so many nations and groups snap to attention upon the election of Donald Trump.
Do not be sanguine, dear reader, and please be aware that the Deep State will reorganize and come back strong. We need to be filled with resolve, aware of their next moves, and responsive to their acts of sabotage. However, it is gratifying to see them scurry like cockroaches when a light is turned on.
I've seen others argue that this election was not a landslide. I agree, not as the term has been classically defined in our history.
"Landslide" is a geophysical term. To stay within geophysical terms, was this a "landslide"? No. But it most certainly was an "earthquake". We bested or matched nearly every pre-election poll. We brought millions of Blacks and Latinos over to our side. We stopped a great deal of cheating, in real time. This was, indeed, an "earthquake". The most telling sign is the response of bad actors, domestically and internationally.

“Millions of libs and moderates voted for them. They were appalled by our Biden open borders and all the pro-trans propaganda from the Dems and the mass media. Millions of moderate men refused to vote for airhead floozy cackling Kamala. They voted Trump or stayed at home.”
I agree. There is another factor I think in play here. The Gen Xers are finally growing up and realizing they don’t know everything like they thought. Wisdom and logic is finally prevailing. They are realizing they are being manipulated and played. Both sides... And more importantly I think they are starting to listen to the old timers and history about how we were once a happy country without all the depression and constant barrage of huge problems and that we could actually once again be like we were before. It is not lost yet, the time is ripe now while the sages are still around to guide them.

This is a great start.
Back up it once in action by prosecuting Pelosi and her followers for their insider trading, and fine them the entirety of their generational wealth. One way to break the families influcence in the political parties.

Your birthday present keeps on giving.
To: Lazamataz
Yes,Laz, I have seen it.
And it is glorious.
In the pantheon of Presidents, Washington will always be first.
But Trump will be second.
One founded a republic, and the other one saved it and made it great again.

My reaction to that announcement was that if he were smart, he’d be leaving DC for a country with a non-extradition treaty.

5.7 vs 6.8 is a reduction in the rate of increase NOT a rollback of prices.

Yep, price of fuel is coming down too. Dropped almost 40 cents/gal here in the last week. Not sure why other than the cost of oil has been dropping, though not so much to translate into a 40 cent/gal price drop at the pump.

Hamas Calls for ‘Immediate’ End to War After Trump Election Win
Newsweek ^ | Nov 06, 2024 at 1:45 PM EST | Tom O’Connor
Posted on 11/7/2024, 7:04:35 AM by redguyinabluestate
‘A senior Hamas official has called for an immediate end to Israel’s war against the group in the Gaza Strip and a plan to achieve Palestinian statehood in remarks shared with Newsweek in the wake of former President Donald Trump’s election victory.’
This reminds me of the hostages in Iran getting “magically” released when Reagan was inaugurated.
