Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) continued to work her way through the stages of grief following Vice President Kamala Harris’ election loss — this time blaming President Biden for not ending his bid for a second term earlier.
“Had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race,” Pelosi (D-Calif.) told the New York Times in comments published Friday.
“The anticipation was that, if the president were to step aside, that there would be an open primary.”
The 84-year-old went on: “And as I say, Kamala may have, I think she would have done well in that and been stronger going forward. But we don’t know that. That didn’t happen.
“We live with what happened, and because the president endorsed Kamala Harris immediately, that really made it almost impossible to have a primary at that time. If it had been much earlier, it would have been different.”
Biden, 81, did not endorse Harris in his July 21 announcement that he was dropping out of the 2024 race — instead issuing a second statement minutes later giving her his seal of approval.
The bizarre sequence triggered speculation that either Biden had to be persuaded to endorse his No. 2 or that he had tried to clear the field immediately in a display of petulance toward those who forced him out of the campaign.
Pelosi’s comments to the Times appeared to confirm the second theory, even though the former speaker had said during a September event hosted by Semafor: “We had an open primary and [Kamala Harris] won it.”

In August, Nancy wanted Joe on Mount Rushmore, then shoved his sorry ass over the side in September. It didn’t matter that Biden’s mental incompetence was a THREAT to national security, it only became urgent when he couldn’t win.
So, let me get this straight.... The woman with the most insightful eye and intelligence when it comes to stock picking, failed to note the catatonic state of Biden, didn’t anticipate the fallout of the coup and doesn’t recognize that it’s the message and not the messenger.... ummmmm, did you say that Trump is the threat to democracy?
They never planned on having a primary anyways.
They could have scheduled one and voted to see if the leftists wanted biden to run instead of making him do it.

The problem dates back to 2020 and the pick of Harris by Joe Biden.
When was the last rat “open” primary?
Biden was just a puppet and figure head who was willing to rubber stamp the entire agenda of the Radical Left.
Even Obama was not this radical during his presidency, he was still trying to get reelected.
Joe didn't care because he's no longer aware what's happening in the White House.
Perhaps a younger Joe would have been more centrist because his goal was to get reelected.
Too bad Nasty Pelosi, Obama did not trust or want an open primary, he can’t control the result. He got what he wanted all along - Kamala, whom he helped hand pick for VP for Biden.

Dropping out late was the only chance to slip Harris in before the populace caught up with the media whitewash. If Harris had to stand for longer, she would have kept dropping until she was even worse off than Biden. It is the media celebritization that allowed even a shot at the election.
And the other candidates put forth weren’t doing so hot either.
In the scheme of things, that campaign cash wasn’t a huge deal. It would have been more than made up by the donors that were withholding pledges from Biden.
