I was prepared for a Harris win. I wouldn’t have liked it though. If on election night it was becoming obvious she was going to win I would have gone to bed after saying my prayers. I would have avoided any media and stayed off FR for a few days or maybe a week. I would have lost myself in a good book. I’d return to FR once I felt grounded enough to read about the disaster. Thats it. No ranting, no histrionics and try to find something funny about her cackle maybe.

There were other factors.

The Trump campaign organization planned for cheating and was on the ground to stop it where needed.

That began with careful monitoring of the voter registration rolls in key urban centers in the swing states—like catching those phony addresses in Detroit and boxes of phony ballots in a couple of locations in PA and then some late night attempted ballot drops again in Detroit.

They learned from 2020 that after the fact was too late—it had to be stopped by election night.

Perhaps, but it's also possible that the cheating didn't happen for a constellation of reasons:

1. Enthusiasm level low among those who would organize and direct the cheating effort caused fear that someone would slip up and spill the beans.
2. More surveillance of vote-counting process made it more likely that cheating attempts would be discovered; with new leadership in DC, cheat management couldn't guarantee underlings wouldn't go to jail for a long time.
3. Kamala was such a pathetically bad candidate, there was genuine fear that she would do more harm than good to the Democrat party over the long run.

Those in addition to the reason you cite, that turnout was so great that the cheating effort would have to be massive, and therefore visible.
