RANKIN, Pa. —
The equipment is set for Monday afternoon's rally for Vice President Kamala Harris at Carrie Blast Furnaces in Rankin.
According to the "Vote for Freedom Rally" website, Harris will be joined by special musical guests Katy Perry, Andra Day, DJ Arie Cole, and D-Nice. Advertisement
The event is set to take place between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Harris' rally originally was to take place at Point State Park Monday at 3 p.m. before it was deemed 'unsafe.'
Harris is slated to arrive in Pittsburgh at 7:30 p.m. and speak at the Carrie Blast Furnaces event at 8:35 p.m

Garbage trucks or a wrecking ball. The Carrie Furnaces were built in 1884. The place is old, rundown, and rusty. As I mentioned earlier (post #11), I once took a tour of the site.
It’s kinda nice that this slice of America’s industrial history has been preserved. What’s not so nice is Harris’ use of it. Sure, she has the legal right to do so.
But it’s Trump who wants to bring industry back to America. Harris and her fellow Democrats couldn’t care less about that. They’re all about keeping folks poor and on the dole.
Not exactly a beautiful or picturesque site. Her team could’ve picked lots of alternatives in the Pittsburgh area that would be but who can figure the dim mind. I think ugly just bubbles up for them and they embrace it.

Her staff is probably freaking out so much at the EV numbers that she might be up on a catwalk with a bottle of Grey Goose.
It will be interesting to see how many women punch their ticket to an eternity in hell by voting for Kamala tomorrow...

Something else that just occurred to me...
Since both candidates will be in the same area at the same time does that mean state and local LE will be split to cover both events?
Are PA, the county, and the city calling up extra manpower...?
The whole situation is awful.
I never like to give Kamala advice—but she really needs to call in sick on this one.
It is not worth it.
I have been to two events for Presidential candidates in Pittsburgh - Mondale and Clinton. I think both were in Market Square, which can be secured easier than the original choice for Kamala, Point State Park. John F. Kennedy went to McKeesport, I think, which shares some similarity with Rankin.
The people attending do.

I’ve thought about this some more. The Carrie Furnace is at an unsecured location. There are many ways to get into the place. It’s not like an office building with locked front doors. Anyone can walk into any of the old buildings and set up camp.
The interior is huge. There are small rooms, side passages, etc. Plus there are many high vantage points.
It kind of surprises me that the Secret Service didn’t say a hard “no” to holding a rally there.
It scares me that the SS is allowing this.
Truly a bizarre setup.
Remember, Hitler's slogan was "Freiheit und Brot" -- "Freedom and Bread".
Like most Democrats, these furnaces have not worked in decades.
It is too bad that has a negative connection because it is a personal slogan of mine, it is amazing how many of life’s problems can be solved with more hard work.
This place is so congested & complicated, it will make 300 people look like 10,000 in the park they couldn’t fill.
Everything these people do is about optics, and calculated. There are no gaffes, they are scheming in their sleep.
