I have always heard this, but with modern medicine, I dont believe it. I mean, if you got bit by a wild animal and didnt catch or kill the wild animal, would they put you down to test for rabies?

If they don’t know, and suspect it might be possible. they just start rabies treatment on you, which I’m told is not fun.

I was bitten by a dog in my 29s while trying. I had to have rabies shots while the dogs head was sent to a lab for testing
