Good Heavens! Currently at ~45min in, and I’ve never heard ANY political figure represent my point of view anywhere near as well as Sen. Vance.

This interview is AWESOME Im SO SO SO SO SO glad that Trump picked JD..at the beginning I can say I was NOT pleased I thought it was the wrong pick but now ZERO REGRETS he’s just a regular dude, a guy you can hang out with

Vance ALWAYS takes questions from the press after his rallies. If it is a “gotcha” question he always calls out the reporter on it and rebukes them - and then the press in general. And THEN he answers the question, and ties it back into what is meaningful and the real problem.
He did it with the press saying that Vance called Trump “Hitler”.
He did it with questions about his “cat lady” comment.
He did it with the “people eating pets” comments.
And he does it so calmly and in a well-spoken manner. He reminds me a bit of Reagan’s “Well - there you go again...”
It may be effective, but it isn't necessarily an improvement. I know that survival is at stake, so we'll see how this shakes out if we're lucky enough to get to cabinet appointments.
I know I used to swear quite a bit. But then I had children.
He discusses his swearing about five minutes into the interview.
The interview is incredible—amazing discussion of dozens of important issues—with brilliant analysis as well as concrete proposals to deal with issues.
The depth of understanding shown by Vance is exactly what we need—if he can serve as VP and then eight years as President there would be a radical improvement in all aspects of life for every American that could last for decades.
I think that is on the mark, but it will depend not only on support in the Congress but an absence of back-stabbing RINO's.
Congressional support comes from the states, and that is where the schools and universities operate.
We put up Reagan and then Bush, Sr. and they response with Clinton. We install Bush, Jr and they invent Obama. We counter with Trump and they "give" us Biden/Harris.
We make good choices but seem to be losing a bit a ground with each contest. I think we have to do much better with the Congress. And I am an optimist by nature.
Many of Vance’s most important and brilliant ideas can be implemented by the Executive bureaucracy without Congressional action.
If you listen to the discussion you will be able to identify many of these.
Some of these cover topics that are rarely discussed here.
Vance is way ahead of the curve.
Baloney.
He was in the Marines. I was Army Infantry I could wreck your mind. J.D. actually explained that in the very early phase of the interview about who raised him. It’s easy criticism if your background is different. I like most vets hide my propensity to use the most vile and profane vulgarity in most situations and around most people. Yet at times when I really need to communicate or in situations that remind me of other situations the nuclear turd blossom may or may not occur to the shock of all participants and spectators. That is all.
Nothing wrong with the occasional Sentence Enhancer.
My wife almost never listens to ANY show for over an hour. A very good movie? Maybe 90 minutes and finish it later.
She’s past the 2 hour mark without a break!

Ex-military here. I’m impressed by his self-control. Not sure my Baptist pastor would be, but he puts up with me. So I think he’ll cut JD some slack.
BTW - I don’t ADMIRE cussing, but it is a much easier habit to start than to quit.

I had not thought of this but you are correct. Vance is very likable as he gives it to the propaganda media attack questioners.
Until he got to the abortion stuff.
Ladies, you have a choice whether or not to get naked with that man. You exercise bodily autonomy when you spread your legs for him.
After that, it’s all natural consequences of your actions ...

I can easily see Vance get eight years of the presidency starting in 2029.
Vance is a really sharp funny and engaging guy. This was a good interview to get to know him.
