Lefties historically have had a tendency to get left behind. Until relatively recently, being left-handed was stigmatized, sometimes as an abnormality or sign of weakness. Left-handed children were forced to learn to write with their right hands, often to their significant disadvantage.
Of course, we now know that there’s nothing wrong with being left-handed. As University of Toledo psychologist Stephen Christman recently explained in Scientific American, there’s almost no evidence to suggest that lefties are at any sort of physical or psychological disadvantage. For one thing, lefties have comprised roughly 10 percent to 15 percent of the general population for many thousands of years. The fact that the trait has remained stable over many generations suggests that left-handedness is not an evolutionary weakness, as many psychologists of the past believed.

Have nothing against left handed writers, why does the left screech about this stuff.
As an aside, I broke my right hand in 6th grade, and my teacher demanded that I write with the left hand, the words looked like sanskrit.
Baseball.
Lefties are the only people in their right mind. 😆
When you take a look at any sort “outlier” cohort of humanity, whether professional athletes, nuclear physicists, NASA astronauts or U.S. presidents, you’ll typically see an over-representation of southpaws. This is not a coincidence.
My father and sister are left handed and I think one of our cats is also left handed ,LOL
I noted in college studying engineering how the % of left handers was higher than usual.
Dunno if that indicates a lf or right brain sort of thing?
I trained myself to shoot right hand because most all firearms are easier that way. Right eye dominant made it easier.
Sort of like a red-headed stepchild.
I have never noticed the screeching, but maybe it’s there.
I’m married to a leftie, and in his family he has a leftie mom and a leftie sister. So 3 out of 7 in his family.
Also, both of my sisters are married to left handed men. Kind of an interesting coincidence. None of the children are lefties, though, out of 7 kids between us.
I have mirror image twins. One is right-handed and one is left-handed. Their politics match that.

Same with music.

Husband is a left handed engineer. One brother in law is a left handed architect. The other brother in law is licensed contractor. All are really good with numbers.
I believe it is wrong to discriminate against left-handed people. They should be treated just the same as normal people.
Perhaps they’d be more accepted if they stopped their sinister behavior.

It would be interesting to know what percentage of historical tyrants were left-handed. Of course we’d have to define what we mean by tyrant, but a large list could be made that has fairly widespread agreement.
I know you said that tongue in cheek, but animal behaviorists have discovered that cats indeed DO have innate paw preferences.

I was born in 1947, am left-handed and never felt differently, stigmatized or weak. I am a strong, independent woman who raised my two sons alone, and moved my kids to accept a job to work in uniform for 25 years in NY State’s prison system...male prisons only. Must be the left-handed snowflakes of today that feel that way.
That’s the way I am as well. I write left handed, but shoot right handed. I tried it left, but I didn’t like it.

I'm left-handed. My oldest sister was left-handed too. My parents and other two siblings were all right-handed. I know I was never criticized in school (1950's) for being left handed. I can't say the same for my sister as she was 7 years older than me.
