It was surprising to hear that in 2016 because Trump was far down in the polls.
Are political signs being used like they used to be? Are people (especially Trumpers, afraid of getting attacked if they put up a Trump sign?) I myself have nothing more than an American flag up. I'm in a "mixed" neighborhood (50% Hispanic and other).
I live in a conservative area east of Phoenix. I'm not seeing anything but local races signs and Senate race signs. Not much in the way of bumper stickers either. I saw one banner promoting RFK on one house in my 200 house subdivision, nothing else.
I think they are just “wore plumb out.”
It's been quite a shock to see so many never before seen events happen in such a short time frame.
And these folks might forever write Trump's name in every election they are alive to participate, if he is mortally wounded
This may be the most silent supporters election for Trump. Not paying attention to anything because they've known who they were voting for since 2015.
They don't wear their Trump gear anymore because their high school and college grandsons ask if they can “borrow it”.
We say yes, take it all. Share it with your friends.
Odds are if your Trump sign was stolen, it's in a dorm room or fraternity house wall.
“Signs are meaningless. Keeping a close eye and firm hand on swing state, blue big city polling centers 11/05 is everything.”
What tumblindice said.
I haven’t seen hardly any compaign posters. Just a few for the local sheriff and mayoral race. Not a single presidential campaign.
Macomb County, MI... I’d say 10:1 Trump over Harris for signs, flags, bumper stickers.
I see very few Harris signs, but I live in a conservative area.
I will not put anything political on or near my house (in NJ) again. I've seen the occasional Trump bumper sticker, but signs or flags on houses are exceptionally rare. Of course, I don't see much in the way of Harris stuff either.
I just finished a road trip from the East Coast, following I-40 to Highway 24, then Highway 64 to I-70. After leaving Tennessee, I only spotted two farms with Trump signs in their fields along the highway. I also saw two vehicles with Trump signs.
Overall, I saw very few signs in Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, and Arizona along I-70 and I-15. Since I’ve never driven through that region during election season before, I don’t have anything to compare it to.
Things are different. Nobody wants their windows broken.
Weird that in the USA, if you fly a American flag everyone knows who you will be voting for.
I live in an area that will go heavy for Trump, eastern Kentucky. I am seeing a few Trump signs and flags. I have encountered only one Harris sign and it’s from the usual idiots in town.
Our local Commonwealth’s Attorney race is the big one here. We have a Democrat who at one time supported Black Lives Matter but has suddenly gone silent on that issue and the Republican candidate was the head of the county Democrat Party in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. His primary candidate is the current Commonwealth’s Attorney but is so arrogant, incompetent and stupid she managed to easily get beat. We really have no choice in this race, BLM kook or BLM lite kook.
Harris/Vance might take a while.
Different
Some years there seems to be a sign for someone in nearly everyones yard, some years nearly none.
Last 2 times most signs, usually one per yard, was Trump.
This time around I see fewer yards with signs.
Absolutely 0 Harris signs.
Ocassionally a generic “Vote for Democrats because they vote for us” banner.
The vast majority of properties that do have signs are for Trump and each of those yards have about 12 or so.
I live in a Chicago subirb that was solid red until about 2005. A lot of, “Pritzker Sucks!” Signs, but a pretty even display of Trump and Harris signs.
A lot of conservatives around here keep it quiet, because the leftists here are belligerent and WILL threaten your livelihood. My mom doesn’t want a Trump yard sign because she’s concerned about the house being targeted (it’s happened before).
I think there’s more Trump support around here than it seems, but people are avoiding conflict. I know I did at work the other day. I’m drowning in leftists at my job.
In my coastal town, the H/W signs started showing up a couple of weeks ago. The Trump signs and flags I’ve seen have been up since 2020.
Tampa also. One fat bearded dude at the post office was wearing a tee shirt that had the letters “K A M A L A” printed across the chest. You couldn’t miss it. He was on line but I didn’t hear him getting any props for it. Just a note our county typically goes blue anyway in elections even though the state always goes red. Other than that, we’ve only seen signs for local down-ballot candidates but we expect that to change as we move into October. I agree with a lot of comments here, people are not buying bumper stickers for fear of being harassed. Our community does not permit lawn signs. HOA stuff.
My whole (small) street has Trump signs but you are right about this area - a very large number of local signs, very few Trump or Harris signs.
Can count the number of Harris signs u
On one hand. Trump signs especially in the rural areas never went away have been there since 2020 and just changed when the new signs came out but largely never were taken down
I'm at our place in North Idaho now and see NOTHING. No yard signs, no bumper stickers. An occasional "Trump 2024" flag here and there. It is eerie.
But I DID spot this window sticker a couple days ago...
—all Trump in Pahrump—Nye County will go about 68% Trump—
