BALCH SPRINGS — Interstate 635 has reopened after a truck spilled chicken and alligator parts Wednesday evening closing a portion of the freeway, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
TxDOT said a truck lost part of its load of chicken and alligator parts on I-635 towards I-20 westbound before the 175 ramp.
The spill was reported around 4:30 p.m., TxDOT said. Three lanes were closed until the freeway reopened a little before 9 p.m.

A hazardous materials crew was called out to help clean up the mess, TxDOT said.

Gator tastes like chicken...kinda.
Only had it once, just so I could say I did.

Texas is joining the SEC in an era when few people fear the Gators.
These things happen in waves. I'm sure there will come a day when the Gators are back on top. Just like some of us were wrong when we said the Spurrier glory days could never be re-attained (then later Florida won the natty in 2006 and 2008). For now, though, Texas is firing on all cylinders. Much like the Aggies were when they joined the SEC.

College Football has turned into the NFL.
Coaches are not going to be as important to a program’s success as they used to be. Now College Football programs will have a front office that will take care of all the personnel matters, and coaches are just there for the Xs and Os.

Perhaps you're correct. Perhaps NIL combined with transfer portal will be the nail in the coffin for college football as we know it. (My prediction is the transfer portal will go away so colleges/boosters can offer cash, but on the condition that the player stay X years.)
Or this may be like countless prior changes in college football that we were sure would destroy it, but didn't.

Either way, managing all the personnel stuff is too much for a head coach.

These college announcers and commentators talk about players transferring like it’s a GOOD thing.......well, I beg to differ.
If I never hear the phrase “transfer portal” again it’ll be too soon.
Whatever loyalty there was between schools and players is now a thing of the past and has changed college football forever....and not for the better either.
