Saudi Arabia appears to be recruiting white South Africans to Noem, their line city in the desert.
I bet the crime rate will be very low.

Who's going to move there? Anyone tempted?
Yes. Sand feels nice between the toes. Everyone knows the rules and boundaries.
Does it have liquor stores?
Not NO, but Hell NO.
No, lots better places on the planet.
Not!
So true.
That place is way down the list of places to visit nevermind live.
Camels, sand storms and muslims. What more could you ask for? 😏
I spent way too much time there. Only thing to look forward to is leaving.
I wonder if the Crown Prince would be very motivated to save you if you ran afoul of the Saudi religious police.
On one hand, he’d want to keep the foreigners happy. But he’s got to keep his crazy Muslim pals happy, too.
They might subsidise those villas or give tax breaks.
If you live in the region I guess it could be interesting
No Westerner will be tempted though I dont think.
Talk about deluded (Crown prince).
They’re spending a lot of money on these ‘white elephants’
Their oil funds in fact
I knew some people in the oil business who worked in Saudi for months long stretches. They said the pay was fabulous.
You have to compromise a fair bit though so it’s a trade off
I’m a home bird (like many here I feel) so not for me and probably one of the last places i’d want to live
They’re trying to compete with Dubai, etc
I have decided I will leave this world without setting foot on Muslim land.
A former project manager of mine did some work there. She lived in a area that was sort of a westernized section pr zone in some city. She said it was fairly normal inside the gates. But somewhere in the city she witnessed the public stoning of a woman. She said it was the most disturbing thing ever, especially since a lot of the royal men there act like they live at the Playboy mansion.
The religious police are aroused by maiming petty thieves.
Probably for the best they have their annual stampede hundreds actually die. It’s bizarre.
Maybe a better question might be: “Do you want to be under house arrest for life?”
Nope.
