In order to need Tupperware;
1.Afford excess food
2.cook
3. Cook stuff worth saving for leftovers.
I have always been Rubbermaid fan. But those products are harder to find (Target carries them, but I don’t patonize Target). Starlite and store brands now dominate the big box store space. A lot of the Sterlite stuff is made in the U.S., but it is cheap and brittle. Hefty lends its name to another manufacturer for a range of storage bins. Its small sealable bins are adequate.

I haven’t heard of Tupperware in years. Tupperware products could only be purchased at parties held in people’s homes. If that is still their marketing strategy, then no wonder they are going bankrupt. We now go online or to stores like Costco or Wal-Mart to get such products.
I wonder if Tupperware was more readily available, say in brick and mortar store like Walmart would that have helped.
I know its available through Amazon but jumping through hoops to get my hands on a product is a turnoff to me.....no matter how good the quality.
I'm old and live alone...I leave my leftovers in the pan...put in the fridge....and reheat later. Saves a lot of hassle.
As I said in post 10, it’s available at Amazon but it seems its always been difficult to obtain.
They made quality products. My wife sold Tupperware in the 80s, and we still have a bunch of items she bought back then - containers, plates, cups. The stuff never wears out!

But nothing better than Tupperware.
I think there may be some companies that claim their Red Chinese products “are as good as Tupperware.” You know what that means.
You can also buy direct from tupperware however, it’s still pricey.
A quick look at their website I saw 3 bowls and lids are $29 plus whatever shipping cost are.
I suspect they priced themselves out of being competitive.
Plus lots of foods come in reusable plastic containers. My mom has a stack of them.
Dozens of “Tupper Ware” copy cat companies now.
somehow amazon manages to undercut everyone. probably because they’re selling bootlegs.
