Vladimir Putin Ordered His Troops To Defeat The Ukrainian Invasion Of Kursk By Oct. 1. They Just Attacked.

In a surprise move on Aug. 6, a strong Ukrainian force—eventually numbering around a dozen battalions each with up to 400 troops—breached the defenses along the Russia-Ukraine border adjacent to Russia’s Kursk Oblast. In a heady couple of weeks before the front stabilized, the Ukrainians routed poorly-trained Russian conscripts and captured 400 square miles of Kursk Oblast.

“This has put [Russian Pres. Vladimir] Putin under pressure,” U.K. Defense Secretary John Healey said.

Rightly embarrassed, Putin ordered the Kremlin to recapture Kursk by Oct. 1. And on Wednesday, Russian troops dutifully launched a counterattack along the western edge of the Ukrainian salient. “Russia's counteroffensive to drive Ukrainians out of the Kursk region has officially begun,” Finnish analyst Joni Askola announced.

The daily rollout of battle news from the sources posting it to FR is not helpful. It is almost all from anti-Russian sources, with cheers whenever the Ukrainians do anything right and little mention of Ukrainian losses. There are no neutral war correspondents.

The front line hasn’t advanced more than 1-2 days marching distance, people are living normal lives in Kiev and Zelensky remains free after almost 3 years despite the Russians plan for a 3 day operation and parade...

Like I said the day of the “invasion”, the Russians will keep the slaughterhouse Kursk Pocket open as long as the Ukes were capable of getting more cannon fodder into the meat grinder.

Apparently, the Ukes have gotten all cannon fodder committed killed, wounded, captured or about to be captured. Feeling a little sheepish about your silly celebration of the Uke invasion of Russia yet? This will go down as one of the most boneheaded moves ever attempted in warfare.

Once again the Ukes put themselves into the position of encirclement.

Feel free to post your "pro-Putin" battle news!

That would provide the much-needed balance, right?

Forbes and Daily Mail are always in the room when Putin talks to his generals, or in the closet when he is with his mistress.

Its the key to great third person omniscient fiction

Truth be told, I'm enjoying this back and forth. It's interesting to watch it all go down. I figured Russia would have had this whole thing wrapped up within a couple weeks, maybe a month or so after invading. Here we are 2.5 years later and Russia is struggling not just to take Ukraine, but to hold its own. Rather fascinating, if you ask me. Tells me Russia wouldn't be anything if not for their nukes.

No, I ain't taking either side. As I've mentioned before, Putin is a bloodthirsty commie dictator. Zelensky is a globalist money laundering puppet for the Biden Crime Syndicate. They can both rot in hell.

Ukraine has to put Russia away before winter. Support is weakening in Europe for Mr. Z and in the USA—If Trump gets in, the money will stop and Ukraine forced to make peace. But, the clock is about over for the war—the people of Ukraine are sick of it. So is the rest of the world. If they want to fight on—it will be with swords and shields only.

Wisely, Trump did not take the bait during the “debate” when he was pressed for which of the two countries he wanted to win the war.

A plague on both their houses.

"That would provide the much-needed balance, right?"

This isn't necessarily pro-Russian, since the only thing I want is for this to end. The only people that are winning in this war is the Military Industrial Complex and Pols accepting their blood drenched campaign cash.

Russian has claimed 10 settlements in the last three hours.

I believe you are mistaken. The big winner in this war is China. Their two major geopolitical opponents, Russia and the USA with allies, are expending material (and men for Russia) while China benefits from cheap Russian oil, and Russia becomes dependent on Chinese tech.

The Chinese have a saying for this strategy: "Sitting on a mountain, watching two tigers fight".
