Hurricane forecasters are bewitched, bothered, and bewildered. The Atlantic hurricane season was supposed to be epic. Instead, it's turned into a real dud.
Huge storms wreaking havoc on coastlines from Aruba to Long Island were supposed to line up in the Eastern Atlantic in June and hit us one at a time until late September. The damage was going to be historic and the TV coverage was going to give climate change fanatics plenty of air time to vent that "this is just a foretaste" of what's to come.
But something puzzling occurred on the way to hurricane Armageddon: not much has happened. The Atlantic Ocean has seen five named storms: two tropical storms, two hurricanes and one major hurricane this season.

Since I live on the MS Gulf Coast - I keep tabs on the action.
So far, most of the action has been in the Pacific.
They had a couple “invests” in the Atlantic/Gulf of Mexico last week and the weather folks were showing all kinds of predictions about how they could develop into something - with folks standing in the rain to help boost fear - and viewership - but the next day they were no longer areas of interest.
Now there’s 2 more “possibles”, 1 in the far eastern Atlantic and one in the southern Gulf just west of Cancun p- but nothing right now to say they’ll be anything more than rain generators.
Of course. we are just at the beginning of the 3 week peak season, so who knows.
But it has not been the epic season they tried to worry us with.....yet....all it takes is 1 to ruin a lot of folks days/weeks/months.
Their faulty computer models can’t predict yesterday’s weather. Garbage in...garbage out.
Yet more proof of a looming climate change disaster....

Where have all the hurricanes gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the hurricanes gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the hurricanes gone?
The girl has panicked everyone
Oh, when will we ever learn?
Oh, when will we ever learn?
Ask, and ye shall receive.

Yep it only takes one to tare up the a wide path at the
landing location. Throw in a few small tornadoes and
the damage can be done.
Deciding to call hurricane Sandy a Super Storm was a strike against everybody that pays insurance.
Interestingly, several years ago I worked on a bid to rebuild a multi-family housing project in New Jersey. As per course, I do background research to see if there are any news stories that would increase the risk of doing a job. I found that the original complex was destroyed by Sandy. The rebuild did not require any consideration that the building was located in a place where a storm was capable of destroying. They had specified processes and products that are sketchy even if used in the midwest. It is almost like they want the destruction so they can do the story...
They have been pimping the storm in the gulf for two weeks. Too close to the shore to become significant.
“Climate Change” started to fizzle in 2024.” Lakes are filling up and rivers are running again. The penguins and their Cola Bear pals are all happy again.
Consider the dilemma facing forecasters: If they under-predict, they lose a ton of credibility. The risk of loss of life from unexpected storms is high. But if they over-predict, yes, credibility is also lost but they aren't on the hook for deaths. Plus, it is easier to blame unexpected factors when the predicted storms do not materialize or touch land.
Everything has been infected by woke ideology including the sciences.
Sure, that’s the same thing they said about Alicia, minimal they said, just a rain event, nothing much to worry about they said. Never ever under estimate a storm in the gulf.
It’s not over. September and October are typically the worst months.
Yep, climate CHANGE
NOT, perpetual DISASTER PORN on the weather channel that spends billions to push their DOOM
It started south of New Orleans in the open gulf.
“Where Are All the Hurricanes?”
The climate decided to change its mind?
I have lived in NW Florida since 2000. Not once has the media informed us that this year’s hurricane season is normal, less than severe, mild, or anything other than potentially catastrophic.
There is no money, no ratings in anything predictable or mild.
Also, no one seemed to predict the Saharan dust that has blanketed the GoM since late Spring. That keeps hurricanes down.
Dry air is moving out now, season is peaking until the end of September, warm waters well into October, who knows how many will form until mid-November.
True. But they say this is the longest lull in over 50 years.
The Global Warmers predicted end of times after the hurricane seasons of 2005-2006 and then .. nothing for 10 years after.
The same question can be asked about the prior hurricane season.
A lot of garbage for sure.
