The idea of relocating federal departments has been bandied about for some time. For example it is thought The Department of Agriculture would be better suited in Omaha, Nebraska, to be closer to agricultural interests. The Department of the Interior would be better suited out west in a place like Elko, Nevada to be closer to federal lands. With Trump considering bringing Elon Musk on board as an efficiency and cost-cutting expert many new ideas are appearing as to where Federal Departments should be relocated. Some are:
Loring, Maine
Montegut, Louisiana
International Falls, Minnesota
Ruthville, North Dakota (adjacent to Minot AFB)
Crow Agency, Montana
Atomic City, Idaho
Merriman and Valentine, Nebraska
Dugway, Utah
Yucca Flats, Nevada
Hanford, Washington
Dutch Harbor, Alaska
This list is certainly not complete. If you have places you'd like to add please contact them.
Homeland Security should be relocated to the most Dangerous Town we have on the Southern Border and move the FBI to Guam.
Does Gitmo qualify?
I say let's start by shipping EVERY GOOBERMINT EMPLOYEE OUT TO THE MIDDLE OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN and put them on a few decommissioned ships that are impossible to get into working conditions that are anchored permanently. Let them figure out how to make potable water from salt water and catch fish to eat. If they die off 1st then so be it.
Check on them after a year or so.
Let Elon the Terminator cull the Agency and Departments then select the replacement employees and give them a 50% pay cut. Then sit back and observe what they can get done.
The agricultural center of the universe is Sacramento, CA.
No other city is even close.
Yeah... With all the internet connections Chomo Joe got to rural America there is no need to be in DC. Plus, think how much extra money all those bureaucrats and lobbyists will have in cheaper areas.
Dept. Of Education is Chicago to help the worst performing schools
Dept of Energy in Barstow where all the cool solar panels are
Dept of Homeland Security in Eagle Pass Tx.
Dept of the Interior in Bartlett Nebraska
Dept of Justice on Riker’s Island
So many opportunities
The FBI needs to be moved out of DC.
Pine Bluff, Arkansas is a great place for agency to exercise their DEI policies.
Greeley, Kansas
It’s the BESSSSSSSS....
Dept of Energy relocated to former AFB Ardmore Oklahoma.
Just don’t be relocating any of those scum bags to east TN.
Yes. Apparently, Pine Bluff has a lot of vacant real estate, according to a thread here a day or two ago. Let the displaced government rats take up some urban homesteading.
Imagine Trump at a Michigan and Ohio rally say: Vote for me and I will move the Department of Transportation to Detroit, MI. It will bring hundreds of Fed jobs, construction jobs and contracts which are much needed in Detroit. I will move the entire HHS to Cleveland OH, and the Department of Agriculture to Dayton bring with it jobs, construction, contracts etc. Move the FBI Headquarters to Charleston WV. Spread the wealth. You keep ONI, DOD, SS, State and the AG’s offices in DC. Every other agency is eligible to be moved. Technology no longer requires all the Departments be co-located. You would need one Fed office building to hold the Offices for all the Directors and Staff when they are in DC.
Trump could sell this as a modern day CCC program. Think of the construction jobs building a new FBI, DHS, EPA etc. headquarters around the country. Service jobs, local small businesses, property values would all be a win for the local areas.
