This is (I hope) going to be a short narrative, but I felt this needs to be shared for hopefully the benefit of others here.
I am leaving Twitter/X. I'm done with it, and it's for reasons you might not think.
Let me say that I'm glad Elon Musk bought it and opened it up to be used as it's supposed to be used. I'm glad the many folks that were once banned under the old regime were able to have their accounts restored. And I'm glad it is being used as a means to expose the lies, hatred, bigotry and sheer evilness of everyone who wants to destroy this nation.
That said, I am leaving it because it has taken my focus off the one thing, or Person rather, that I should be concentrating on and communicating with, our Lord Jesus Christ. I can get the important news here on Free Republic (thank you Jim!) and at the same time get spiritual encouragement as well. Also, there are brothers and sisters here that I cannot thank enough for being there for me, especially the last couple of years as I deal with the effects of Long Covid.
I'm also deleting "The Liberty Daily" out of my morning routines as it is also a very depressing website to visit, and I don't like the way it uses, shall we say, "more colorful metaphors and adjectives." Sure, there is not much good to share from the left, but to use the derogatory surnames is shameful.
So that's it. Every morning when I bring up the morning news, this will be the only website I visit for all the happenings that are the most important to know about.

They just don’t know of the unforeseen variables brother. You are about to make a major lifestyle change and need all the positive energy you can muster to get it done. Last thing you need is negative energy to bring you down.
I understand because I am currently in the same situation you are. I’m trying to make a major move and lifestyle change and if I don’t unhook from most of the mental chaos and clear my head I will never get the positive energy to get it done.

Bits and pieces of news over the years. A tidbit here and there. Zuck is a known entity. All of the guys who headed up Tech and IT giants were there because the USG put them there. Think about Gates’ story. The people who are the deep state control it all, one company and technology at time. Every communications company has to send their top level folks to “government responsibility” traning.

Its benefit to us under Elon is inestimable

I think this is more about compulsion in the way of Gods time than the site itself
X more than anywhere else gets our sides info out there in spades

Yes, I am doing the same. I am downsizing and going back off grid again. And while I will have internet the lifestyle will not give me much time to get online. I will be too busy with more important stuff like chopping wood and other off grid chores. Living off grid is labor intensive and keeps you occupied pretty well.
But it is going to be a very advantageous situation very soon. The writing is on the wall. :)

Why is your interest so focused on a backwater in Eastern Europe?
Why do you have a blind spot where you can see Ukraine faults but not Russia’s, which is the same as “President” for life Putin’s. Who is the one who attacked and invaded starting the problem.

“The Liberty Daily” is a great site filled with lots of news links. The headlines at times do sound like Mark Levine insulting people at times.
As for X, I find it hard to follow anything as it seems to be people throwing stuff on a wall and hoping for views.
That is where you are wrong - you equate keeping our own money, instead of giving it away to a dictator in Ukraine as support for Russia. It’s a bogus dichotomy. Russia is a corrupt nation just like Ukraine is!

What you say is the reason I blame Russia for starting this trouble and providing the mechanism for the endless war corruption.
On principle also, Russia attacked another country.. They started it. It affects us and our allied countries.
