A baby boy with no family was laid to rest by police and strangers after his body was found at a South Dakota recycling center.
The full-term baby was discovered at at Millennium Recycling in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on August 6th. There was no known name or family for the little child.
'And look at the family he has now,' Pastor Travis Remme, referring to the large gathering at Wednesday's Service of Remembrance for Gabriel.
Despite ongoing investigations, authorities have yet to determine the circumstances surrounding Gabriel's death, including his age and how long he had been at the recycling center. It is also unclear whether he died of natural causes, or if he was killed.
Sioux Falls Police Department spokesman Sam Clemens described the infant as 'full-term' and acknowledged that the investigation is ongoing.
The community has been deeply affected by this heartbreaking tragedy, and numerous individuals and organizations have come together to offer their condolences and support.
On August 28th, a memorial service was held at Miller Funeral Home Southside Chapel to honor Gabriel's short life.
'It's a trying time anytime someone loses your child; it's not the natural order,' funeral director Matthew Koball said. 'It's really the least we could do to give back to the community because it's the right thing to do.'

Our society, in the person of the Supreme Court, legalized the practice of killing babies in utero. That evil decision has had far-reaching consequences. One of them is the practice of throwing babies in dumpsters.

Women have ALL OF THE CHOICES in this. From child support, abortion, birth control, and self control. Yet, it is the men who are shat upon in all corners of society. Public society anyway. A woman can UNFAILINGLY make a man use a condom, heck double stack that baby. Or use a diaphram, other forms less harmful than the pill even. IT IS THE WOMENS FAULT, in all cases except for rape or in child pregnancy.

Has it occurred to you that a teen mom's baby daddy, mother, father or grandparent could have been the one who took the baby away and disposed of it?
If the police are looking into it, a good place to start would be the employees of the recycling center. A dead newborn fits easily in a backpack.
By the time the infant was discovered, either he was too decomposed to determine manner of death, or police know and are keeping investigative secrets, to better ID anyone who comes forward.

Actually he can. Genetic genealogy can very likely determine both parents. The parents don’t need to have provided DNA samples, cousins even distant cousins DNA samples can be used.
Basically, some seem to view unwanted babies as literally trash instead of as human beings. There’s no excuse with the options that are available to leaving a baby in somebody’s care without questions. Considering all the indiscriminate fornication/adultery going on, is it any wonder that a limited area will produce inbred children who will continue the cycle as IQ levels decrease, as well as moral standards?

I remember that heartbreaking case. I also remember how many people were feeling sorry for the disgusting murderess.
Familial DNA searches only work if there are actual family members in one of the registry services that police can access.
I wonder what will happen to these people? People who think that the life of a human being is no more important than dryer lint or a bottle cap. Just something to be thrown away. Sad.
