The following morning, once conditions improved, rescuers found a body beneath the capsized boat. You have to time your jump from the boat carefully.

Their “re-creation” was missing something…Oh yeah, a crew of actual Vikings. Just because we’re more technologically advanced doesn’t mean we’re automatically better at managing ancient technology. For example, we have no clue how to build a pyramid on the scale of the Egyptian pyramids.
“Institutional knowledge” makes a big difference.

“...a Viking replica ship capsized...”
Maybe that’s why all the Vikings are extinct?

A tragic incident, but at least it saved some coastal town from being pillaged.

Can I get a federal grant to study stupid researchers who obtain grants?

FWIW, I'm just about ready to wrap up
Vikings: Valhalla on Neflix.
Turned out to be a pretty good show, even if it pales in comparison to the original series which was a spectacular show.

Plenty of Vikings sank too. The ocean is mean. And we can totally build a pyramid, the only challenge we’d have is getting the funding and permits. Outside of that it’s just moving rocks, we can move rocks real good.

Nothing wrong with a little pillaging, as long as one is the er, and not the ee.

She sounds like an amazing young woman. How sad for her family and fiancé.
"Authorities believe a strong wave was likely responsible for the capsizing, which they are viewing as a 'tragic accident' rather than a criminal matter"
Gee, ya think 16 foot waves were a natural event and not a criminal act? "Authorities" the world over are some of the stupidest people alive.
