Day #12 of the Top 50 songs on my iTunes playlist -- ranked in reverse order by play frequency from #50 to #1 and presented here on a series of FR threads. I'm posting them here on a new thread that compiles the growing list one day at a time over the next couple of months. I only post them on weekdays and may miss a day or two here and there, so it will take at least ten weeks to do this.
And to show my gratitude to the FR management for giving us all a forum to post vanity threads like this, I'll be making a contribution for the current quarterly fundraiser. I would encourage everyone on these threads to do the same! :-)
Have fun with this, folks!

Let me know if you’d like to be added or removed from the ping list!
I have read all of James Fenimore Cooper’s “Leather Stocking Tales”, but this song was not in them. Maybe I turned two pages by accident. :)
iTunes ? You mean Apple Music.
I tried them all. Tidal, Qobuz, Amazon Unlimited. In the end I settled on Apple Music. Still the best.. for organization ,availability and audio quality.
Very eclectic. I like that.
Not sure about the bagpipe melody but sure, why not? Maybe you have some parties and like to tease your guests.
I have a bunch of songs on my list that drive guests to the brink of insanity. I’ll have to look up the bagpipe song.
FWIW, I had a bunch of vinyl and cassettes. Then I converted to CDs. Then I ripped my CDs to MP3. Then I put my MP3s into iTunes. Then iTunes made duplicates and triplicates of every song each time I upgraded computers. I got so annoyed by iTunes software that I just got a Spotify account.
Only later did I learn how to prevent iTunes from making duplicates. It’s just a checkbox but man did that drive me nuts. So I stick with Spotify now. Only annoying thing is with Spotify is that I got my wife an account (multi user) but unlike say Netflix or Amazon when you got multi user accounts all the playlists show up on all the log ins. It was not like Netflix etc does it, where my wife has her own favorites and history and login it was all mixed together. Maybe they changed that. I tried to get her her own login, which they seem to have added, but she can’t get it to work (I may have to intervene). So now when I go to Spotify I get all her ridiculous playlists she built and have to filter through those.
If there is a way to transfer them over I’d pay double just to get rid of her party lists and her emotional mood soundtracks off my account. At least with TV streaming all her murder shows don’t show up on my log in and my movies don’t show up in hers. But Spotify screwed me almost as bad as Apple with that. At least my wife and I have similar tastes in music, but her special party mixes (eg “Stephanie’s birthday mix” which she was charged with creating) will be gone from my account. I may just go in and delete them especially “Stephanie’s party mix” which neither of us listen to - since the party was years ago!
I have Apple Music and I’ve learned that when I make a request, Apple will begin a playlist with similar songs with unlimited skips
Loving my Saturday night oldies parties even more

iTunes - Apple
iTunes is the app for music, movies, TV shows, and podcasts on Windows and Mac. Download the latest version, join Apple Music, or visit the iTunes Store on iOS to enjoy millions of songs, ad-free.
Agreed. I play some modern country pop stuff because my wife likes it, and it impacts my recommendations.
Not so good, but it’s the best music streaming around.
Great musical scores:
(Joke) “The Verdict” (almost no music whatsoever)
“Guardians of the Galaxy”
“Star Wars”
“Raiders of the Lost Ark”
“War Dogs”
“Saturday Night Fever”
Those are excellent. There would be a few more on this list if it covered the Top 100 and not just the Top 50!
