A marina biologist captured a rare sight in the Monterey Bay over the weekend.
Nancy Black, a marine biologist with Monterey Bay Whale Watch and the director of the California Killer Whale Project, said that on Saturday, a group of orcas was spotted.
The group included an adult female with her offspring, according to Black.
"They had fed on a few sea lions earlier in the day, and when we found them, they were spy-hopping, breaching, pec and tail slapping and just very surface active. The youngsters were chasing each other, and the group was rolling together with lots of touching," Black said.
Orcas thank California environmental protection laws for providing such a fine feast of sea lions. *BURP*
But are sea lions protected? Shouldn’t the local Sheriff arrest the Orcas?

Orcas are intelligent killers, not cowardly whining leftists and don’t deserve to be compared to members of The View or to Hillary. I call the demonRAT blimps “Hutts”. Jabba’s clan members. Whoopi hears a strong resemblance to Jabba.
Seals are protected. It’s illegal to harass them even if they’re sinking your boat.
Well, the County Sheriff’s duty is clear then. Arrest these Orcas. They need sensitivity training and to be education about the healthy benefits of a vegan diet.

I’d just as soon the orcas ate all the seals. There’s nothing more frustrating than to pull a salmon up from 200’and have a seal eat everything but the head and hook. As I’m sure you know sound carries over water bigtime and if the bite’s on, boats are all over the place. I’ve seen orcas play Frisbee with sunfish as well.
