Senator JD Vance faced ridicule over a viral video showing him stopping inside a Georgia donut shop on Thursday.
On Thursday, Vance visited Holt's Sweet Shop in Valdosta, Georgia, a crucial battleground state Republicans are hoping will flip back to Trump after it narrowly voted for President Joe Biden in 2020. He faced a wave of ridicule over the video, with critics describing the stop as "awkward." The campaign stop comes as Vance's popularity among voters remains a sticking point for the Trump campaign.

The left knows the Kamala joy party is coming to an end. They’re going to get desperate
VERY fake news.
He sounded pretty normal to me. And a nice guy. He should, however, ditch the suit for some of his appearances.
A person goes to work expecting a normal day and, boom, you're on national TV. That would scare the hell out of most people. The first thought on the minds of many people would be, "If I say the wrong thing, I might get fired...and I need the money."
I didn’t see anything rude by anybody.............
The demon party aren’t the immature middle-schoolers they have been for years. Now they’re more like vicious kindergarteners.
” The campaign stop comes as Vance’s popularity among voters remains a sticking point for the Trump campaign.”
Never heard that before. Smells like BS.
I have no idea. As a sitting governor, it should be an easy enough thing for Walz to do.
Not sending them out appears to be a strategy. Like when polls showed Hillary to be _more_ popular when avoiding the press. Maybe they count on that edge.
At some point, without covid as an excuse, I think it should backfire on them. But if they are confident in their 2020 operation repeating the feat, that may not matter. IMO
NEWSWEAK
Newsweak retarded take on something.
The narrative is ‘awkward’ reaching and stretching for poo that sticks.
Who is the poster? In all my years with FR I cannot recall that moniker.
Exactly. I watched the thing. I’m utterly baffled why this is even a “thing.” JD went into a doughnut shop, bought doughnuts and asked the workers a couple questions like how long they’d been there and how old the store was. What a freakin’ nothingburger as a “very awkward” stories go.
I didn’t see anything awkward, other than the people behind the counter didn’t know who they were talking to.
What would be awkward is if the candidate accidentally released a loud belch while facing and talking to the manager. And with the right personality, even that kind of faux pas could be laughed away Every event does not need to contain some sort of unfixable problem.
I guess to the dems and state run media that ordering donuts and chatting with the employees is 'Very Awkward'.
They must order their donuts using Uber Eats!
News weak what more need be said
“I saw the video and JD was very polite and cordial,”
Yes, but when I go into a store, I don’t ask people how long they’ve worked there.
What was the point of the questions?
Maybe we didn’t see the whole conversation. Hard to believe that was all of the small talk.
Yeah, I have to agree with you. I didn’t see any rudeness or awkwardness either. I’m not even sure they knew who they were serving. That’s how benign it seemed.
He was a little awkward. It sounded like he was trying to force a conversation. Nothing earth shattering. At least he’s talking to real people.
Multiple takes of Commala buying Doritos is perfectly fine....
