I've been a fan of watching YouTube accounts of Near Death Experiences lately. There are certain common elements:
Various neuroscientists have stated that simple biological processes of death produce these effects. Maybe the tunnel and the light can be explained by this, but the rest? No way. I cannot think that mere biological processes could manifest such a detailed series of accounts. Nor is there any evolutionary benefit to these processes, obviously... you are dead, right? Evolution is highly unlikely to be a factor here.
So this, to me, seems like quasi-scientific proof of a God. Now, religions have added all sorts of nonsense around these concepts, since almost to a person, the subject of an NDE describes a God that is utterly nonjudgemental and loving. So, take the 10 Commandments: Seems like the 10 Commandments were written to make OUR lives better, and it is not some cosmic scorecard that God is judging us on.
One person I know personally that had an NDE, would not talk a lot about it, but the one thing he did relate is that 'all the nonsense religion spouts? The beings on the other side, they don't care. Just be loving.'
And that aligns with what Jesus said: To love God with all your heart, and to love your fellow man.
With apologies, the white light was something I have never seen before. The most brilliant light ever. It was almost from another dimension. It was in...then out.
Please add me to the ping list. Thanks!
That, right there.
I have not had an NDE but I have lost the fear of death.
The fear of taxes, however, I cannot seem to shake.
But you still believe in God. Why wouldn’t you consider that some people might experience Him in-person?
He knows what he's talking about.
Tomorrow, after THE EVENT would be better.
If you’ll read my original posts, you will see I do acknowledge that that might be possible. I do however think that there might be other reasons- but I don’t rule out the possibi, ity that Jesus can come and usher people from this life to the next, and they can see him and speak of it before passing on.
I do know however that there is a huge spiritual battle taking place, and that Satan does disguise hi self as an angel of light in order to keep people from reaching out for salvation (one of my posts talks agout that and how a person can be deceived to think they are forgiven by God when infsct they havent been beczuze that person doesnt accept Christ as savior, thinking that their experience in an nde was proof that God accepts them when in realkty it was the evil one who deceived the person)
I don’t discount that Jesus can appear to people at all. I do however know that Satan does deceived people and walks around loo,ing for subjects to deceived, and people dying are in a vulnerable place mentally and physically and can be susceptible to deceit more readily as a result
I also know that angels can appear, as the Bible instructs us not to neglect strangers as they may be angels sent to us for whatever reason. We may entertain angels unawares.
I don’t discount all nde’s- far from it. I do question though those that are unblical (ie that everyone is fine and don’t need to worry because God is not judgemental), and do question those who claim to have seen God and spoken with him and lived, as the Bible clearly states that noone has seen God and lived.

Not quite, you gotta face a critique from YOU at your Judgement.
[[Somehow, that just doesn’t gel for me. How would such a morse code come into being? Cannot be evolution]]
I missed this part before- you are correct, it could not be by evolution- it would be given by God at creation just like he gave everyone their “inversel moral code” which is consistent all over the world.
I don’t want to stray off into evolution vs creationz- that is for another topic- but just as God can and did instill a universal moral code in folks upon creation of them, so too could he instil a universal code that could help protect folks who are dying- (I’m not saying he did, just that it is a possibility)
I get up and read the obits. IF I am not in there I go ahead and do stuff.
***One person I know personally that had an NDE, would not talk a lot about it,****
I have found this to be true. One person it happened to became extremely religious in Christianity. She never told anyone until 40 years after it happened, then she told my wife and me. In 1956 she had survived a natural gas explosion in her home being horribly burned.
Also, the best proof of God's existence is intelligent design (Romans 1:20).
Thanks for the post.
Now that is something I can relate to. Not saying I saw anything, it was more an awareness of being in the presence of something I couldn't explain. Gentle but urging me to take stock and reassuring me of a path I would do well to take. It was shortly after my brother's untimely passing. As the feeling passed, i was left shaken, sobbing and falling to my knees in prayer, while the shower water cascaded over me. Many years ago but i recall it like it was yesterday.
Thx for the thread Laz.
Well you sin’s debt was paid on the cross...you can’t repay it...I suppose your “repayment’ is simply acknowledging that you can’t repay it and accept the fact you can’t and to tell Jesus so. Ask for his Spirit and live a humble life before him , Loving Him and then neighbor as your self.
What else can one do?
One person I know personally that had an NDE, would not talk a lot about it, but the one thing he did relate is that 'all the nonsense religion spouts? The beings on the other side, they don't care. Just be loving.'

I’m in. Show me.<<<
And since nully understands the value of a 2 x 4, maybe he wants to know too.
Here's the background section from the NT -- what you had tied in. It's where the island of Avalon is located, in the Torah where it's been overlooked completely.
🤔 How does something like that even happen? It's an important place, where the Excalibur was forged. But then the sword was firmly embedded in a stone and could only be extracted by the rightful heir. (It's not any work at all if it is love.)
It is in context of the Resurrection:
Those who were convinced that there was no resurrection cleverly proposed a "Gotcha!" about a woman who kept marrying a long line of brothers because no offspring had been produced and her husbands kept on dropping like flies. No sense of humor seed apparently. This woman was sterile, and took an entire family line down with her. (Why do men die before women? Because they want to.) Does human nature ever change?
Mark 12
23 In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife.
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
See that, Laz? They are like the angels. Up there, they wouldn't be doing anything wrong, unlike down here when they were married to that woman. No wonder those poor sad-u-sees came up with such a "foolproof" story line. They could not comprehend any existence outside of being guilty of everything all day every day. Sad.
Free the mind and live.
So as the passage continues, to err is human, to forgive is divine:
26 And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
27 He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.
28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
As you know, that's straight from the Shema, the Jewish statement of faith, even spoken with one's dying breath. It was joined up to the Golden Rule which was taught by Bill and Ted and is the very basis of the future world, "Be excellent to each other."
The "mythical" Island of Avalon [אי אבלון] is located in 5 places in the Tanakh, all in the Torah, in Deuteronomy -- Devarim, the "words, commandments" [of Moses] (6:5, 10:12, 13:4, 30:6, 30:10), with the same message, beginning in the Shema. Seeing is believing, in the heads, of the words (in the roshei teivot, lit; the heads of boxes -- which are also container rescue ships such as Noah's Ark and Baby Moses' basket).
(Missing ship's movement is a serious offense.)
Deuteronomy 6
4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul*, and with all thy might.
6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.
10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
11 And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
* את יהוה אלהיך בכל לבבך ובכל נפשך
אי אבלון
What's not to love, and how could anyone forget, even to lose sight of the place completely, yet...?
"Baseless hatred" is the traditional explanation for the reason behind the destruction of the Temples.
How to build a Temple? One 2 x 4 at a time. Or all at once when time is of the essence. Proper use of dimensional lumber will get things moving along, up and running in no time.
And THAT's how you know "etz time."
Voila!

Here lies the body of Solomon Pease,
Under the flowers and under the trees,
but Pease isn’t here, only the pod,
Pease has shelled out and gone home to God.
It would probably shock us to learn the many times we were guided by God, the holy spirit, even angles without knowing it. There is a whole unseen spiritual presence that operates at all times, in all places, unbeknownst to us.
(She and I agreed later that it was totally proper for you of all people, to do that. We both would have been disappointed if you hadn't)
