I also know that angels can appear, as the Bible instructs us not to neglect strangers as they may be angels sent to us for whatever reason. We may entertain angels unawares.

I don’t discount all nde’s- far from it. I do question though those that are unblical (ie that everyone is fine and don’t need to worry because God is not judgemental), and do question those who claim to have seen God and spoken with him and lived, as the Bible clearly states that noone has seen God and lived.

Exodus 33:20
Verse Concepts

But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!”

Now that is something I can relate to. Not saying I saw anything, it was more an awareness of being in the presence of something I couldn't explain. Gentle but urging me to take stock and reassuring me of a path I would do well to take. It was shortly after my brother's untimely passing. As the feeling passed, i was left shaken, sobbing and falling to my knees in prayer, while the shower water cascaded over me. Many years ago but i recall it like it was yesterday.

Thx for the thread Laz.

I can vouch for this. Many years ago my wife's younger brother committed suicide. She was beyond distraught, and anguished as they were so close throughout their lives. Naturally she blamed herself for not preventing it. It had been two days since the news and there was no joy in her life whatsoever, and nothing I could do about it.

We traveled to Orlando for the services, and the preceding evening went to dinner. Since it was a weeknight the restaurant had few customers. My wife spotted an empty room and asked if we could have it to ourselves. The hostess agreed.

Nevertheless, about ten minutes later they seated two middle-aged ladies in the adjacent booth. Why, we thought when we specifically asked to be alone?

The two ladies began talking and we could overhear everything they said. Apparently they were office workers from across the street. Their conversation was all about mundane things like missing staplers and paper clips. But as they did, they laughed about every little thing that went on in the office. They never stopped laughing and it was infectious.

Soon my wife was laughing along with them. And the tears of relief started running down her face. At some point, the two women got up and left, and we never saw their faces or stopped them to talk.

But to this day, my wife swears they were angels. And I agree with her, because it was not in my power to console her. And yet these perfect strangers had that power.
