In the first Rocky movie,
Apollo Creed’s trainer caught a TV News piece of Rocky beating up slabs of beef but good. He tried to get Creed’s attention so he could see just what he would face. Creed, who was getting caught up in the fanfare of this fight, blew him off.
Creed got dropped in the first round.
Yes, it’s a movie. And yea, Creed won that fight.
But there is a lesson being overlooked at our own peril.
Harris is a zero. But she’s got the MSM, print journalism, Tik -Tok, the entertainment-industrial complex, unions, teachers, every foreign nation except Israel and Antatrica, and everyone except normal Americans backing her.
Further, our side has done such a good job of making her out to be a babbling, cackling hyena that when she actually strings together a cogent campaign speech , those lowered expectations are suddenly pleasantly surprised.
And, by the way, has anyone WATCHED the Atlanta speech? While Rogan is a little dazzled, he IS right in that it’s tight, concise political speech full of leftist red meat. She even throws in a little southern accent - Obama-esque.
Ladies and gentlemen…..do NOT underestimate the requirements for victory. Yes, let’s not tremble like milquetoast pantywaists.
But if we ignore the vast reservoir of political ordnance the Dems can marshal, and that Harris apparently cleans up nicely, Trump will get dropped in Round 1.
One final important point. We need to destroy them at the ballot box. This will be close. See, you have to scrutinize the winning vote margin in those close states that tip the balance to the winner, ie the Tipping Point states.
Since 2004 every election except for 2008 it came down to the handful of states that tip the Electoral College scale to the winner:
- In Trump’s win in 2016, his cumulative winning margin in the tipping point states of Wi, Mi, and PA was 77,444 votes.
-In Biden’s case, his tipping point margin was about 40k votes.
-Obama in 2012, it was about 500k votes.
-Bush in 2004, about 16k votes.
All this campaigning and rallies and debates blah blah blah…it all comes down, in general, to beating the other guy (or gal) by less than 100,000 votes.
….and it’s actually thinner than that, because all the losing candidate needed was to flip at least half of those votes.
Given who are the refs in this match, Trump will lose the split decision.
Stop being Creed, and start drinking raw eggs.

Nobody, at least me, is saying “ignore her” and just trust all will be well.....but she IS still an idiot and yes she can string together words somebody else wrote for her. She did it rather well, alone by herself with no one to ‘ask’ or ‘comment back,’ say, as in a debate.
Trump has already gotten ads out there with multiple examples and instances of her ‘record’ in California; I don’t expect that he’s going to stop that nor do I think he’s not going to be the foil to her nonsense in a debate. As for the ‘backing’ she has, we’ll have to see how well that holds up.
It’s not the same world of the early 2000s anymore. It only took just one “We beat Medicare......” to show that and she’s only one “If you think about the significance of the passage of time and some cackling guffaws” away from the same thing.

Long comment there. But well said. Agree 100% with pretty much all you said. But I *hate* raw eggs...

Goldwater’s loss to Johnson alerted me to the potentially profound ignorance of the American electorate. Nothing has changed.

It is my opinion that sensible people would not view a Trump victory in November as a done deal. That is both irresponsible and ignorant.
That said, we don't have to buy into what the MSM and Big Tech are arrogantly and shamelessly peddling and allow it to demoralize us and depress us. (the current revelation that the Harris campaign has been buying fake "news headlines" from Google, who displays them as if they were real news stories.
I just posted this last week before this story broke and I wonder is this is how the deception is manifested to a typical Internet user.
I just listened to Steven Crowder's podcast from yesterday:
LINK: THIS IS WAR: YouTube is stealing the election in real time... The entire show was about how Google and YouTube are in full "Elect Leftist" mode by manipulating search results.
If you search for "Donald Trump" you get ten pages of results (I didn't go past ten pages) that are, with the exceptions of the major Trump related all wholly negative.
There is a pane on initial Google search which appears to be a "news feed" as far as I can tell, the first four shown are extremely negative, but you can click on a link to show more of them.
Clicking on that Google link to "show more" news items, returned 17 items like this:
- As Trump fumes, Republicans wince at ‘public nervous breakdown’

- Kamala Harris’s Multiple Paths to Victory
This was just the first page for each of these politicians. I did check the next ten pages for each of them, and both continued in all the same direction: Trump, very negative, Harris, very positive.
We expect this, it is no surprise because we are aware of it mostly except for the pearl clutchers and the denizens of the fainting couches we find on this website.
But 4.5 BILLION people worldwide access Google and YouTube each day. And the VAST majority of them have NO idea whatsoever.
And Crowder had an expert on his show on exactly this type of manipulation, and this person said it was possible using Google and YouTube alone, to turn a 50-50 race into a 90-10 race.
This is on top of the normal and usual lawlessness we have seen the Left engage in at election time, stuffing ballot boxes, etc.
So, to your point-we have no rational reason to expect an easy or even a large Trump win in November. We have to conduct ourselves like we are behind.
And part of that is not playing to their hand, swallowing what they feed us and getting demoralized and depressed.
In the Navy, we were told to "Keep a steady strain"...which means don't get too high, don't get too low. And I think that is good advice.

Given who are the refs in this match, Trump will lose the split decision.Yep, just like his court cases, it's stacked against him. And there is no appealing the election to get a reversal. 80 days to go, all engines should be burning and they're not. Yes I'm concerned because this is a race that comes down to close votes in 3-5 states.
