FIRST ON FOX: Google admitted that autocomplete search results regarding the assassination attempt against former President Trump last month were prohibited by design and part of the company's policy for "hypothetical political violence against current figures."
FOX Business reported exclusively in July that Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan., was launching an investigation into Google after its autocomplete search results did not register the assassination attempt against Trump on July 13, which was dominating the news. He questioned the company in a letter over the search function, asking about its algorithm and what decisions were made in the aftermath of the attack on Trump.
In its response to the senator, Google Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy, US and Canada Mark Isakowitz listed the policies that guide the autocomplete function.
"We do not allow predictions that can be interpreted as accusations against individuals or groups of serious malevolent acts, where there is a lack of well-established or expert supporting evidence," he said.

“hypothetical political violence against current figures.”

How was the assassination attempt at Trump “hypothetical political violence” in any sense?
“well-established or expert supporting evidence” = approved by The Party
I almost never use Google, so...
Algorithms are program parameters set by programmers.
They KNOW exactly what they are doing!
Scotus said this is Legal if the current government asks then to do this if I remember correctly.
Of course it was by design. So was the assassination attempt. Someone wanted his brains blown out in a live broadcast.
I know I’m linking dissimilar things but —
Evolution (we are told) is the story of random genetic drift. All of the animals and plants we see around us “just happened”. And humans, with our hands, our brains, or vocal talent for speaking ... we “just happened” by random drift.
And whenever the Democrats are about to get caught conspiring against Trump, all the evidence seems to just “get lost”. The Secret Service communications in Butler, PA? I dunno. Guess they didn’t save ‘em. Google’s defined search parameters regarding access to records about Trump? I dunno. I guess they’re gone.
Who believe that any of this “just happens”?
Did anyone try that Google auto complete before July 13 on Trump, Biden or any other current politician? And what would FR members have said if we had typed “assassination attempt on t” and gotten Trump as the first suggestion on July 12?
How is this not election interference?
These are campaign contributions. Unreported campaign contributions.
Google should be fined by the FEC. And the fine should be several billion dollars.
FB and Zukerberg, Twitter and Dorsey and of course Google and Pichai alone probably made the difference in the 2020 outcome..assuming no cheating. That doesn’t even count the legacy media in various TV forms.
Your post is a joke, right?
If the bullet had hit its target that video would not have been suppressed. These people are evil.
Wonder what a encyclopedia would look like now days if you could even find one.
Google’s getting ahead of the game - we’re not a totalitarian hellhole yet. They have to wait for Harris to ‘win’ for that to happen. Then they can put their filthy boot down on the faces of citizens...
I don’t know.
But if I go to Google and type in “assassination attempt on ka” it pre-populates as “assassination attempt on kamala harris today”.
Hmmmmm….
Sound like Google is using the old “The dog ate my homework” excuse.
Bingo.
Such illegal political contributions-in-kind deserve jail time. Google also needs to be stripped of their Section 230 liability protections. Their proven censorship makes them a content provider, not a content carrier.
