I used to commute through downtown LA when I worked offshore oil & gas - that was 40 years ago, and even then the place was a complete schist hole. Today, it’s probably not much different than Caracas...

There are only about 3 or 4 main escape routes out of the LA/S.CA area. If a real big event ever happened they would never being able to evacuate 20+ million people out of that small region. It would be gridlocked immediately, and the millions who found themselves dead stopped on the freeway escape routes would quickly become targets from mobs of looters/criminals.
Yup—Prepper rule #1—move out of heavily populated areas.

No kidding. When I see a red light up ahead, I approach slowly. Keep the head on a swivel. Double-check the doors are locked. With luck, it’ll be green when I get there. If not, I plan an escape route and stop far enough back I can gun it left or right (onto the sidewalk if needed). Never get trapped with cars on your left, front and right.
His bigger mistake was pulling over & getting out after they threw a water bottle in his car. He should have floored it and gotten out of there.
he didnt he was stopped at a red light and the morons got in front of his car, when he light changed he attempted to pass the morons on bikes and they attacked him.
