NASA astronauts stranded due to Boeing's faulty Starliner received horrifying news on Wednesday about their return mission to Earth.
Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who have already been trapped on the International Space Station (ISS) for more than two months, may not come back to Earth until February 2025.
The US space agency revealed a contingency plan that would launch a two-person crew on SpaceX's Crew-9 mission in September, but still wouldn't bring the crew home until months later.
The announcement is another highly embarrassing blow for the embattled Boeing, which is dealing with a spate of issues plaguing its commercial jets.

I don't hold any Boeing stock, so I can say this:
I hope their stock price gets driven down to $0 after this.
They deserve to go the way of the dodo bird after this.

IIRC-—There are 2 docking ports.
ONE fits ONLY Soviet machinery.
The other fits ONLY American machinery.
THIS IS A MULTI-BILLION CF.

Wow...this is not a pleasant message for them or their families. Prayer up!! :(But what part is "truly horrifying"? The ISS has been manned for years with many long endurance stays by crewmembers. At worst, it is an inconvenience.
The writers of this story are inflating every aspect to some kind of life and death struggle.

It wasn't just the MSM celebrating his failures. SpaceX celebrated them too!
If you haven't seen it, this is a compilation (by SpaceX) of their mishaps, put to the "Liberty Bell March", and it is a lot of fun...:

Of course, for them, they could afford to laugh...they learned lessons and profited from them each and every time they did.

Not really. The Soviet design is old, NASA had to match it.
The American designs are newer, different. Certainly not based on the Soviet specs.
Hence, to style of ports.

I will admit to being clueless about programing at that level, my teenage adventures with BASIC notwithstanding, but can’t Boeing send them the program? Granted it would probably take a while but not eight months. You can't test software in space. You can, but something always goes wrong the first number of times. A failure in space is death.
