Olympic bosses dramatically doubled down on their decision to allow two boxers who failed a gender test to compete in Paris - after the opponent of one withdrew from their bout in tears after just 46 seconds.
Amid deeply disturbing scenes on the outskirts of Paris, Italy's distraught Angela Carini quit her contest with Algeria's Imane Khelif, who was disqualified from last year's World Championships after being deemed biologically male.
The defeated welterweight was hit twice, suffered a suspected broken nose and barely threw a punch before telling her corner: 'It's not fair.'
She then sank to her knees, beat the canvas in frustration and refused to shake Khelif's hand. After the lopsided fight ended Carini, 25, said she withdrew because of fears for her own safety. The situation was subsequently slammed by a UN women's welfare official and Italy's Prime Minister.
However the IOC hit back at what it called 'discrimination', saying Khelif, 25, and Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting, who was also disqualified from the New Delhi competition and is due to fight today (FRI), were 'victims of a sudden and arbitrary decision by the IBA'.

The Algerian is intersex, meaning they were most likely born with female parts, or both male and female parts, whatever it is a birth defect that caused them to be id’ed as female at birth. That being said, the individual has XY chromosomes, which is the male pairing. I have no doubt that these XY chromosomes gave this individual the growth and muscle development of a male, and thus should not be competing against women.

Either you have a male hard-wired brain or a female hard-wired brain. Either you have XY chromosomes or XX chromosomes. Wishful thinking and all the new-speak in the world won’t change hard-wired physiology.

Men have both X and Y chromosomes. It’s having the Y chromosome that makes a person male. Women have XX chromosomes.
They are playing around with a kind of gnosticism here that denies material reality. It doesn’t matter how people “identify” or even even if they have had the surgical enhancements. They were born male or female and they have male or female bodies, which are not the same outside of the obvious differences in genitalia. As far as I know, all the competitions are separated into men’s and women’s categories. Why is that? I think everyone knows why, even those who deny material reality. Otherwise, why not have men and women compete against each other all the time?
I feel terrible about this Italian boxer and other women athletes who have had to competr against “transgender men,” but it is good that the logical conclusions of this outrage are out there now for all the world to see.
Correction -”transgender men” should be “transgender women.” It’s easy to get mixed up.

Doubled down. Of course they did, it’s the classic response of tyrants everywhere, as they lose control. This will eventually go bad for them, but I don’t know how long off that is.
