Jennifer Aniston has criticised Donald Trump’s vice-presidential candidate, JD Vance, for resurfaced comments calling Democrats a "bunch of childless cat ladies with miserable lives".
The Friends actress, 55, posted a 2021 interview with Mr Vance that has been widely shared since his selection as Mr Trump's running mate for November's presidential election.
"I truly can’t believe that this is coming from a potential VP of the United States," she wrote on Instagram. "All I can say is… Mr Vance, I pray that your daughter is fortunate enough to bear children of her own one day." Mr Vance has a two-year-old daughter, and two sons. "I hope she will not need to turn to IVF as a second option," Ms Aniston wrote.
"Because you are trying to take that away from her, too." 'Country miserable'
The actress has previously spoken openly about her struggles while trying to have children through in-vitro fertilisation (IVF).
Last month, Mr Vance voted to block Democrat-proposed legislation to guarantee access to IVF nationwide. In the clip, Mr Vance criticised Vice-President Kamala Harris because she has no biological children.
Ms Harris is stepmother to her husband Doug Emhoff’s two children.
But Mr Vance told former Fox News host Tucker Carlson the US was run by "a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable too".
"Look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez], the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children," he said. "How does it make any sense we've turned our country over to people who don’t really have a direct stake in it?"

Remember some guy calling into a late night radio show saying she was dead in bed.
Thanks for the free PR on J.D.’s comment.
I thought the reason Pitt dropped her was because she didn’t want children. Now we find out she did, and used IVF?
tune this out, and move on, you weren’t going to win her vote or California anyway.
She dropped him. Now she laments she has trouble dating/finding a guy in her early 50s. She’s “independent” and “won’t lower her (incredibly high) standards” but can’t figure out why she has difficulties finding a guy.
Its a head scratcher all right. /sarc
Actually, childless dog lady. Same difference.
How about “miserable cat ladies who aborted their children”
And deservedly so.
And an arrogant holier than thou one at that.
Only the childless cat ladies who have been mugged will vote for Trump.
According to the article, “Mr Vance voted to block Democrat-proposed legislation to guarantee access to IVF nationwide.” Of course, there’s probably more to the story. I think I saw an interview with Trump once where he said he approved of IVF; he wanted to help people who want to have children.
You are so right. The landscape is littered with politicians who sought to exclude voters based on litmus test of purity. I maintain a long list of such politicians who lost elections and now live in obscurity and without any power to enhance conservative agenda.
1 out of 10 couples cannot conceive. It’s probably considerate to be sensative to that. It often messes with a womans mind if she’s barren. Men have to put up with a bunch of BS from all directions, childless or not.
I live in a rapidly growing small town in the deep South and there are plenty of childless cat ladies here that are going to vote for Trump. I can name a bunch off the top of my head (but they don't all have cats...some have dogs).
You must be thinking of Jennifer Aniston.
[Last month, Mr Vance voted to block Democrat-proposed legislation to guarantee access to IVF nationwide. ]
In reality, IVF is available nationwide. But it is expensive, as other complex medical treatments are.
JD Vance tells it like it is and that is why he is such a great partner to be Trump’s VP.
JD, don’t let the screaming lefties bother you.
Carson, Burgum, Youngkin or Rubio never would have made such a politically dumb comment.
