President Biden plans to address the nation from the Oval Office on Wednesday night to explain his decision to bow out of the presidential campaign and outline how he wants to use his final six months in office.
Mr. Biden is scheduled to return to Washington on Tuesday afternoon for the first time since announcing his withdrawal on social media on Sunday. He spent six days at his vacation house in Rehoboth Beach, Del., recovering from Covid and recalibrating his political future.
In a post on social media announcing that his address would be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Mr. Biden said he would discuss “what lies ahead, and how I will finish the job for the American people.” He made clear in a phone call to his old campaign headquarters on Monday that he was determined to use his remaining time in office to campaign vigorously for Vice President Kamala Harris and to advance domestic and foreign priorities. “I’m not going anywhere,” he said, a phrase he used three times in four minutes.
Mr. Biden has not been seen in public since late Wednesday, when he disembarked from Air Force One at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware looking frail and uncertain. He had just tested positive for Covid and was described as sick and coughing. The White House physician said on Monday that after days of treatment with Paxlovid, the president was recovering well and that his symptoms were “almost
completely resolved.”
While Mr. Biden said he planned to campaign for Ms. Harris, who was set to headline her first campaign rally as the putative Democratic nominee on Wednesday in Milwaukee, the president has canceled his travel schedule for the rest of the week. He plans to sit down at the White House with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu...

Oh goody. Another lecture for the American peasants by Mr. Potato Head. I can’t wait to be insulted and demeaned by our Dear Leader. #FJB
That's why I won't be watching. I can read about what he said in the interwebs later.
Better, will he announce that he’s resigning?
It seems clear that someone called their marker or showed him what they’d release if it didn’t quit at a minimum, at worst resigned his office.
AFTER Bibi Netanyahu addresses Congress? More likely before— so he can try to SPIKE Bibi’s speech. Willing to bet that’s what ole failed Dependsdent Xiden will try to mouthpiece and spew. On an ALLY.
Maybe he’ll whisper sweet nothings to the fat muzzies in the penthouses in Qatar. And don’t forget
KAMALA is NOT going to be at the address- which she is as VP required to be present as President of the Senate!!!
Mike Johnson said— any disturbance by House members against Bibi— they will be arrested by Sergeant at Arms. Please- DO IT MIKE!
And Bibi—make sure you layer your security with 100% IDF/Mossad— and keep he non-communicating Secret Service watching for snipers— unlike they did in PA.
All that yes!! Add a thin thread to raise his hand to wave- and also activate a neon sign saying “Weekend at Joey’s”

The Resigning Biden Will Earn More in
Retirement than He Did as President
Double dipping payout of $413,000 annual
The National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF) calculated the total pension that President Joe Biden will receive whenever he leaves the White House in a new issue brief by Demian Brady, Vice President of Research for NTUF. Biden’s career in Congress, combined with his tenure as Vice President and President, means he will receive an annual pension of $413,000 of taxpayer dollars. His salary as president is $400,000.
President Biden is entitled to a pension as the result of the Former Presidents Act of 1958, which was enacted after concerns about the financial situation of Harry Truman. Joe Biden’s net worth is currently estimated at $9 million.
Once Biden leaves office taxpayers will provide a Congressional pension of $166,000 with annual cost-of-living adjustments and an executive branch pension equal to a cabinet secretary which is $246,400 in 2024.
In the new issue brief Brady writes: Joe Biden represents a unique situation. With his long tenure in Congress and subsequent years as Vice President and President, Joe Biden stands to benefit significantly from both systems, potentially receiving a combined payout starting at around $413,000. Lawmakers should re-examine this loophole that allows for double-dipping in two different yet generous pension programs.
Unfortunately, there are currently no limits within each pension program that would curtail the taxpayer-funded benefit afforded to the elite few who have accrued substantial pension benefits in both the legislative and executive branch, in addition to their personal wealth.
If you would like to speak with NTUF Vice President of Research Demian Brady about presidential pension reform, please contact NTUF Communications Manager Courtney Manley at ntuf@ntu.org.
