A letter from Sen. Josh Hawley, citing whistleblowers inside the Service, suggests just that.
President Trump was subject to an assassination attempt the Secret Service should have protected him from.
Congress has been asking questions all week, and met with mostly stonewalling from the agencies involved.
Now Sen. Josh Hawley is hearing from Secret Service whistleblowers, about yet another problem.
According to the Daily Wire:
Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) said on Friday that most of the security personnel at former President Donald Trump’s Saturday campaign rally had been “unprepared and inexperienced” DHS personnel rather than actual members of the U.S. Secret Service.
Hawley shared a letter he was sending to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, demanding answers for a series of apparent lapses in security that ultimately allowed a gunman to attain access to an elevated position less than 200 yards from the rally stage where Trump was speaking. Secret Service is part of DHS.
“Whistleblowers tell me that MOST of Trump’s security detail working the event last Saturday were not even Secret Service. DHS assigned unprepared and inexperienced personnel,” Hawley said.

Recall the time Bush was walking into a closed door venue, and he entire security detail was detained? Bush reached back and grabbed onto one of them, and dragged him along. I always thought there was assassination afoot that day.

Also, Cheater used to be close to Dick Cheney when she guarded him, The Lizard’s father, both of whom despise Trump. (Not sure if they retained their relationship.)
And a bungle as epic as getting Hillary the nomination, and failing to drag her carcass across the finish line with the cheat
We all need to be careful with forming opinions based on ‘reported stories’.
We need to remember how the Clintons handled bad news. They flooded the news cycle with fake stories that contain an element of truth but contained a lot that was easily proved to be not true, and once the untrue parts were exposed the true bits were also discounted ‘as being proven untrue’.
Yep. I have wondered if Jo wasn’t the deep state’s real target.

These Congress critters never ask the right questions.

I’d like that question asked of a whole host of agency heads and underlings.
Then explain the punishment that awaits them if they are involved and that if they lie about it there will be no plea bargains.
The day after Trump’s attempted assassination, Politico ran a story that Iran had made major threats against Trump and others.
Joe stepping down voluntarily was their plan B.
An “Iranian attack” may be the Plan C. Unlikely they’d do the ‘lone gunman’ again. Next time they’ll likely use explosives.
The perp Crooks was able to freely fly a drone around the area. Be easy to rig one of those up as a weapon.
ANY president has a few dozen loons, state actors, etc. out to kill him. The question is how do the ‘protectors’ allow a hole in the dam for the water to get in? What’s the stand down process to allow those evil actors to get off a free shot?
That’s what we see with Crooks. Loser, incompetent, poorly planned attack and easy to spot and yet... here he is flying drones, carrying in a long rifle, hanging out on the roof for 30 minutes!
Stand down order opens the door to the attack and provides “plausible deniability” to the true bad actors.

Without firm and universal standards it might be that the individuals are mostly as good as what they brought with them when they were hired.
Some agents, mostly men, are of the right type and interested in the training enough to become at least fairly good, the females less so, and some specialties like the snipers might be really good because they came in with sniper backgrounds and sniping is a personal interest with them that they work on.
Just as we saw in the military, the mediocre are already in and they will reach seniority and gain rank and leadership positions and create more of the rot that got them hired in the first place, with appointment of the Pepsi director someone decided to accelerate the process of rot.
Yep, with that “luck” kid should have gone to Vegas and bet…..
