I'm pretty sure almost all of us here believe the days of Biden's candidacy are very short. I'm equally sure the Dems realistically have no option other than elevating Kamala Harris to be their nominee, no matter how distasteful that may seem. As this seems obvious, who would y'all speculate she (OK we know it's really Obama, Schumer, and Pelosi making these calls) will pick to board her Titanic for the cruise to November? Since they can not tap their reelection kitty unless Kamala is the one, would she tap Michelle, knowing the populace would see this as "historic" with two Black women on the ticket? Would she pick a white male like Governor Beshar to counter JD Vances Appalachian heritage and story? Certainly Newsom would be smart enough to run for such a Quixotic offer. It seems to me that figuring out who would be crazy enough to run with Kamala might be more problematic than getting rid of Biden.

Don’t be surprised if they pick Hussein Obama for VP. My reading of Article 22 doesn’t seem to forbid it, even though he’s already been elected twice as prez and served both terms.
That should say Newsom would be smart enough to decline such a Quixotic offer..
If they want two black women then they can get Susan Rice or Valerie Jarrett.
I’ll be honest. Any Democrat who has presidential aspirations down the road wouldn’t be caught dead running with Kamala.
I think they’re going to toss the whole ticket and go for the Big Mike with some flunkie as VP.
Harris/Buttigeig : First black female pres/ First Openly gay VP. Checks all the damn boxes. Still a losing ticket.

If Biden is to feeble seek reelection, he is too feeble to be POTUS.
If Biden ceases his campaign, he must resign and Harris would be elevated to POTUS.
I doubt Barack would jump on this runaway train... but who knows... would he convince Michelle to hop on? I doubt that also.
My two cents:
1. Kamala is shown the door.
2. Someone electable is nominated for VP.
3. At some point, Joe succumbs to COVID, or fill in your excuse here _____________.
4. The new VP becomes the new D nominee for President, and the wishes of the people are ‘honored’. No open convention.
5. Somehow they square it with Kamala, whatever bizarre form that takes.
It will happen very soon, get people used to it, and offering something tacit, which is “Yeah, Joe is whack, but the VP is electable (probably Big Mike).”
A vote for Joe is a vote for BM, something along those lines.
