I don’t think making a car designed to take lightning strikes and big lithium ion batteries are a good combination.
The real test is to make an extended drive in that electric DeLorean in very cold weather where you need to recharge the batteries.

Lol. Hyperbole. The word “legendary” implies greatness. The Delorean was a slow pig of a car. A dog. Uninspiring handling. Horrible build quality. Legendary my butt. Maybe in the same vein as an Edsel. But no, the Edsel had far far better build quality. For that matter a Beetle did, too. If not for the movie the Delorean would have been entirely forgotten.
Lets take it on a coast to coast trip across the US against an ICE car and see who gets there first. My guess is that there is several days difference.
