He evens screws up the teleprompter.

If the President gives a political speech, isn’t Trump due equal time. This was a political speech from the Whitehouse.
Exactly. Everything about the speech was forced. It almost reminded me of the stereotypical speech, someone who is taking hostage would read in a recorded message. They read it to seem like everything’s OK however, everyone who listens to it can clearly see how it is forced.
Most of the time, it was one giant run-on sentence with little pause or changes in annunciation between sentences
Those black slit eyes are so creepy.
“Help, Jill is holding me hostage at the WH!”
He was still slurring his speech. Not impressed.
God I freaking hate seeing these edited clips, and the folks that fall for them and repost them here. He was quoting Sotomayor, and after the quote it is proper to say “end quote”. Quit making us look bad!
See post 15.
The reality is that CNN used lighting unflattering to Biden in the debate. Perhaps intentionally
I have, what’s the point?
I considered that after I posted. He’s inappropriately read stuff from the teleprompter before so why not run with it?
Imho “end of quote” was not meant to be said by Joe Biden.
It was on the teleprompter to tell him it was the end of the quote—to separate it from what came next.
The clue was that there was no “begin quote” at the beginning.
Exactly. It was only what four-ish minutes and he slurred most of it together ignoring any punctuation, then, immediately shuffle off. If you’re intent was to try to impress normal people, it wasn’t gonna work as a, it wasn’t a good speech and be it’s the week of the Fourth of July at 7:45 PM with no one is paying attention.
Biden: I concur with Sotomayor on her dissent, here’s what she said “ —————“ end of quote.
Frigging nothing burger and not worth the bandwidth.
It goes without saying I'm not a doctor. However my late mother was an operating room nursing supervisor and an RN and my wife is a retired nurses aide and a heart monitor tech. I've worked in two ER’s and I'm working in a third as a humble porter and even I know this.
Work around that environment and after a while nurses, even some doctors will impart little bits of knowledge to you and you learn some basics. And one of the things I've learned is at some point the meds stop working and the heart and liver are shot.
What ever physician is prescribing all the Adderall(a stimulant) and the Xanax,(an anti-anxiety medication) should have their license suspended and their script pad taken away.
This is like the last days of Adolph.
They were giving some wild drug cocktails to keep him somewhat alert some of the time.
He did not take questions. That indicates they are still afraid to let him speak without a script.
Oh, come on! Who among us hasn’t included “end of quote”, among our public remarks? 🙄
Exactly.
I did a lot of public speaking—required for my job—in younger days.
I probably made over a thousand presentations over the years.
I quoted all sorts of people during that time.
Not once did I say “end of quote”.
The way normal people handle it is they say:
So and so said such and such.
Then you pause for a few seconds. That is how the audience knows the quote is over.
Then you continue your remarks.
How many say out loud “Salute the Marines” while walking past a Marine detail?
