In Philadelphia, police logged a series of Lego set thefts in recent months at retailers such as Barnes & Noble and Target, with stolen sets valued from $250 to up to $1,000 each. Target told CNN it did not have any information to share on Lego thefts at its stores. Barnes & Noble did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The way I read it, ADT provides the service to alert him of a burglary and the ability to watch his shop get ripped off real-time.

Such a disgrace!

Glad I am not longer in retail.

Ran my own (small) business for 35 years. Could not have survived persistent looting - we had our share!

Insurance companies can only cover so much.

Sprinkle them on the getaway path. No one can handle that much pain.

I was too old for Legos. I collected Pez dispensers before it was cool.

Wonder if they're taking the new, LGBTQ and furry Legos?

If DAs crack down on shoplifting, the problem goes away - for Legos and everything else. Keep voting Democrat and explore the intricacies of what shoplifters prefer to steal, or stop voting Democrat and stop worrying about ridiculous BS.

As a security measure, perhaps they should toss a few of the bricks in front of the displays?

Reminds me of this photo during the riots. It always makes me chuckle. In the midst of chaos, one LEGO fan seizes an opportunity:
