Don't buy from Tractor Supply Company (TSC)

If you're a small town or rural consumer, you might find this of interest.

It's a 13-minute youtube video show how this corporation is taking you dollars to support people and causes you might find personally or morally repugnant, or to stockholders in larger dividends.

I'm pretty upset that much of my money is spent on consumer goods ends up financing groups with which I don't agree rather than being passed along to me in lower prices.

That stinks, but for some of us there are not a lot of alternatives. No Farm & Fleet in AZ.

Can you provide a list of the causes and groups?

Almost anything you buy, now, has at some point in manufacture benefited somebody or something that you don’t like.

I’ve given up on boycotts. In most cases I don’t think they’re useful (Bud Light excepted). I prefer to ‘buycott’ people who do or stand for things I DO agree with.

~~~
That’s the sad part of this day and age.
The simplest solution would be to go local. Try to find a mom-and-pop owned local feed and tractor supply.
The problem is that the corporate behemoths used the walmart method of moving in near where-ever the competition is and drove them out with chain subsidized low prices.
Everything is corporate/chain owned these days, and amazon is killing the brick and mortar stores as badly as the brick and morter chain stores killed the local shops.
There’s no way to know where these leftist board members and execs are directing their money, and even when you do know, you are stuck without alternatives.
Pretty much. Most businesses will capitulate to the leftists because they would make life miserable for the business owners, workers, and customers. And since our side is told to "play nice", as espoused often on FR, the businesses know we don't (or won't) have their backs if the SHTF with the leftists. None of us would show up at their front door steps. The leftists would and have in some cases.
IMO The ones against commodity companies are useful provided alternatives exist.
It’s obv easy to use a a non Gillette razor or drink a different beer or as Disney has found out find other children’s entertainment.
Telecoms are impossible to avoid for most of the nation.
I don’t think that they’re useful for value added products.
Your post implies that the corporate boards will capitulate to “activists” demanding pedophile rights since they are more “active” than we are.
Perhaps those boards will capitulate to hauling Jews off to “final solution” camps as well?
Is there anywhere these corporate boards will take a stand and say “no”?
You can waste the rest of your life worrying about what people do with their money but it’s their right to spend it as they please. You’ll never know what most people do and don’t need to know. Same goes for what you do with your own. Your money, your decision. That’s how free societies work. Stop obsessing and get on with life. You spend money at numerous places where you have no clue how it is used.
The answer is not to shop at Tractor Supply, but rural people can't waste time boycotting or picketing.   This is an evil catch-22 and they obviously know it.
The more I see, it seems like Franklin, TN is almost like Austin, TX.
Not the “big company drives out the local” stuff again.
I grew up in a town of 2500. When Walmart moved in and not one local business it competed with went under. Not a one.
“Described on the video.”
Take two minutes and cite them saving hours of others time.
Probably not.
If you own stock, vote your proxy. Read the CV of the proposed board members. Vote against any who emit the stench of DEI or any other form of leftist activism.
You're small time compared to the institutional investors, but do it anyway.
