If Trump Wants To Win, He Should Run With J.D. Vance (R-Ohio)
The Federalist ^ | June 21 | BY: NED RYUN

Trump needs a true fighter and a real friend in his corner as his running mate — and there’s only one man who fits the bill.

Jan. 20, 2025, will mark the first day of the most important four years of our lifetimes. That’s the day President Trump will place his hand on a Bible, take the oath of office, and end the disasters Joe Biden created at home and abroad. It’s the day the effort to save America will truly begin.

President Trump is undoubtedly the man for this moment, but as our 47th president, he will face even harsher challenges than he did as our 45th. The media, the deep state, the Democrats, and, yes, even some establishment Republicans will fight harder and dirtier than they ever have before to stop Trump from implementing his America First agenda.

With the stakes high and many powerful forces standing against him, Trump needs a true fighter and a real friend in his corner as his running mate. He needs someone who will have his back, especially when the going gets tough, who’s smart, effective, and a true believer on policy.

There’s only one man who fits the bill: Sen. J.D. Vance.

The Ohio Republican has proven himself time and time again as one of Trump’s strongest allies. He’s a ruthlessly effective messenger, especially on hostile networks, and would perform strongly against Kamala Harris in a debate. He’s stood up to the globalists who want America’s sons and daughters to fight other nations’ wars. He’s in lockstep with Trump on tariffs, trade, and economic policy. And he won’t surrender, as far too many Republicans have, on border security, illegal immigration, and protecting American workers.

You’re right all around—Yale law and Deep State.

Also, Vance’s private sector experience is magically all tied up with Thiel and other Deep Military tech investor types.

Deep State Pushing Trump VP Choices as Secret Service Ramps Up Security Detail

June 21, 2024 | Sundance | 588 Comments

A couple of quick hot points from the 2024 presidential race and Trump side of the equation.

♦ First, we can ignore all of the typical pre-debate banter about who is doing what in the lead-up to the Trump v Biden debate.  Every cycle the debate narratives are pushed for clicks and attention; almost all of it is manufactured nonsense and false.

Actual, professional, presidential debate teams do not leak information about their debate prep activity to the media. The only information released is from campaign players who want the other side to see, hear and waste time preparing for imaginary nonsense.  All of the pre-debate stuff, banter, punditry and column inches are one big mind game of misinformation.  Ignore all of it.

♦ Second, the DC system that created Mike Pence as the best option for Trump 2016 is the same system pushing Vance, Rubio and Burgum for 2024.  [Example HERE]

The intent with Pence 2016 is the same intent with Vance, Rubio and Burgum ’24.  I’m cautiously optimistic President Trump is well aware of this.

Seriously, how many times have you heard me repeat the warning:

NEVER TRUST A NEVER-TRUMPER

Yet, time and time again people get wooed back, deny their instincts, dismiss the intellectual reality and drop their guard.  Every single time the Trump supporters get burned.

This is not complicated folks.  The Never-Trumpers do not change position, have an awakening, trip over some “come to Jesus” moment, engage in self-reflection, or otherwise evolve to stop thinking that Donald Trump is the end of their world.   Never-Trumpers espoused that opinion, because Never-Trumpers saw value in holding that opinion.  It is simple and should be accepted.

Those who claimed Trump was/is horrible, terrible, egotistical, evil and all the other adjectives to describe their sentiments, do not suddenly have a change in perspective.   What changes them are changes in the instructions they are given.   They begin praising Trump because there is new value in stating that opinion.

NEVER, EVER trust a never-Trumper.  The stakes are too high.

♦ Third, apparently the secret service is increasing the security detail around President Trump.

Kelly O’Donnell: “Secret Service is ready to add new protectee detail for Trump running mate. USSS is also increasing size of Trump detail beyond level for formers. Official said, “The Secret Service detail has been bulked up by additional special agents and support teams to ensure the highest level of security for not only the event sites but the travel in between events.” (source)

Generally speaking, the current DC system operators, that are referred to as the ‘Biden administration’, have no motivation to protect Donald Trump other than their sense of personal responsibility to the nation President Trump represents.

Given the effort that Tucker Carlson has put into mainstreaming thoughts around the ‘killing of Trump‘, I am cautious to view any Secret Service effort through the prism of professional altruism.

I pray for the safety of President Trump and his family daily, because I am very clear-eyed about the nature of the enemy he faces.

I hope Trump picks a good running mate, but in order to win, he has to overcome massive amounts of election fraud.

I can’t get past his previous quotes and insults of Trump.

“I’m a Never Trump guy,”

“My god what an idiot,” he wrote, referring to Trump.

“might be America’s Hitler”

People can change, but I still smell a future Backstab coming.

Like I said in the rest of my post, I also like the fact that Dr. Ben Carson was born in Detroit, and would give President Trump a better chance of winning Michigan.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin puts Virginia in play. If we win VA, it is game over in the Electoral College.

“Dr. Ben Carson was born in Detroit, and would give President Trump a better chance of winning Michigan.”

And that might give Trump a leg up on winning votes of the soccer moms. Spam the theaters, TV, and streaming with the movie, “Gifted Hands”.

His every position on the issues is directly against what the Deep State wants. Just because somebody went to an Ivy League school does not mean they’re aligned with the Deep State or the Establishment any more than somebody is with the Establishment because they have a lot of money - like Trump.

There are dissidents.

I know because I am one. I “should” be a big supporter of the Establishment if you look at all my demographic data. You would think I am. You would be dead wrong. I’m exactly the opposite.

Trump just opened 11 regional offices in Virginia. It looks like they are trying to get high turnout down state and low enthusiasm from Joe’s supporters in NOVA.

I like JD Vance, but I do not think he can add and EV electors.

“People can change, but I still smell a future Backstab coming.”

Thank you. I don’t think people can change that quickly and that much. What decisions people make at the outset display their core principles. If he wasn’t able to recognize, in June 2015, that Trump was the best candidate for America, then he has discernment issues, and we don’t want him.

He has a strong streak of nasty running through him. Combine that to his hatred of Trump ... just ugh.

If JD gets chosen, DeWine will appoint another Kasich/Romney type. We need Vance in the Senate.

“Deep Military tech investor types.”

Translation: Military Industrial Complex.

Think Liz Cheney.

Vance would be great, a lot better than presumed favorite Nothingburger Burgum (Mike Pence 2.0 without the sanctimonious bible-thumping).

I called long ago for it to be Glenn Youngkin, but a fighter like Vance would be welcome on the ticket.

Note however that Vance would be replaced in the Senate by somebody much less conservative. Not a Democrat, but a squishy DeWine-type Republican. The worst possible (and therefore most likely?) option along those lines would be congressman Mike Turner.

Trumps best VP pick would be New York Rep. Elise Stefanik. She is a Trump loyalist, an articulate conservative, and female—Trump badly needs help with the female vote. Also she would help Trump in new Yorm

People that change can change back. I hope Trump is looking beyong the three the media are pushing. That said Trump has the most data on them, personal experience both with them and with Judas Pence. It’s his choice and I will support whomever he picks.
