Candace Owens endorses Vivek Ramaswamy or Thomas Massie for Trump’s VP pick and says she will not vote for Trump if he picks a neocon like Nikki Haley, Tom Cotton, or Mike Pompeo

I agree. Candace Owens has gone off the deep end...
I said this in 2016. I think he should choose a woman as his running mate. Does anyone think he could have chosen worse than he did?
I don’t care who he picks as long as it’s not a senator. Those guys are major a-holes!
I think he’ll pick someone other than a white male.
I don’t know who, but hope it’s not a current Senator. At least, not one in a state we couldn’t easily replace with one of our own.
“Didn’t Nixon pick Agnew?”
I wasn’t in the room, so I don’t know. I would guess he did not, but ...
“She’s a TV clown, and it’s no surprise that one of her two preferred VP candidates is a swarthy B.S. artist.”
Has FReepers changed their opinion of Candice Owens? I’m guessing she is now part of the Ann Coulter school of Conservatives who said something stupid.
She’s sending a message to Trump. Don’t repeat your mistakes.
V is ineligible. Massie has a few attractive aspects but his grasp of defense and foreign relations is terribly weak imho and prone to create big wars a year after ge ducks smaller engagements. Dangerous for America until he learns how the real world works.
Two awful recommendations. Im glad I don’t know who the hell the correspondent is.
Massie has made a career out of railing against out-of-control federal spending, and has repeatedly demonstrated his standing as a “principled conservative” by voting against House spending bills that eventually pass with 400+ votes. But when he was in a position in 2023 to cast a decisive House committee vote on the Biden-McCarthy debt ceiling deal, he showed all the determination of a wet noodle and just caved.
THIS is how I judge a candidate.
Matt Whitaker is tough and took over as AG when Jeff Sessions stepped down.
I don’t think you understand the process. The presidential candidate doesn’t pick his running mate. Trump will stand up and say he selected X or Y as his running mate, but that’s just political theater.
Meanwhile, this is just sad. Verging into so close but so far, Sarah Palin territory:
That’s a broad brush you are sweeping with there.... does your sentiment include say JD Vance?
Perhaps you could challenge her to a debate and expose her.
It’s Trump’s choice so anyone else’s recommendation(s) is irrelevant.
We’ll see who he picks and that will say a lot.
Senators are all snakes within a year of exposure to, and infection by, the institution. They are ALL collegial bums who have taken the handshake and learned the wink and nod as they play their constituents for the rubes they are.
Ok...so she doesn’t quite have it right. She is wrong about Massie but Cotton’s behavior on J6 was disqualifying to the nth degree and so she is totally right with that. Regardless she is a smart and great voice and it is stoopid to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Her takedown of Nadler at a hearing a few years back was so massive that I will cut her almost unlimited slack. I have no doubt she will get behind the right choice when presented with a good one.
It got harder and harder to hide the grift.
How about someone as stupid and non-threatening as Kamala Harris? No one likes her, no one supports her and there is zero chance she will lead a coup.
I keep saying Kari Lake would be best. She’s fierce.
