He was 7’5” when we filmed him 2 years ago.

7’7” earlier this year.

I remember when I was at UF, how excited we were when Dwayne Schintzius, at 7 feet 2 inches was coming to UF. What a shame he was only 43 when he passed on.

But can he play basketball, or will they Rioux the day they signed him?

At his height, that's all he's got going for him. He's playing against kids in high school.

Once he hits the courts in college, he'll be playing against NBA prospects who will be all over him.

He'd better hit the gym and start putting on some muscle or he's going to be dead meat and plagued with injuries.

Wow, he would even make my niece’s sons look short. They’re a junior and senior in high school, 6’7” and 6’6”.

Wow, he has some athleticism as well as the freak height. Will need to bulk up for the rigors of the NBA, let alone the NCAA, but he will have a huge payday in the not to distant future.

Hopefully it’s not a case of some pituitary gland irregularity which can lead to gigantism / and other issues.

Raise the basket to 15 feet and the short guys will get an equal advantage.

He barely has to jump to reach the hoop.

Looks like the ball of his foot is about 1" off the floor in the pic below:

1981-1982 Biola College, now University, featured 7’8” George Bell on their basketball team. Long time ago in the NAIA.

I remember. I was there. He and Livingston Chatman and the rest of that team that won the SEC. I remember the Vandy fans throwing tennis balls at him and him burying the technical foul shots so we won the game. Then I remember the idiot AD Arnsparger hiring Captain Ahab to serve as interim basketball coach and he promptly dismantled the team because nobody wanted to play for him.

He has enough skills to play for IMG. 92K per year tuition and housing. His parents are either loaded or he got some sort of deal.
