I was just watching an Antiques Roadshow episode this morning on YouTube where they reviewed some of the best “finds” over the years.
The best story IMHO was a Federal style wooden hall table the lady bought for $35. It was built by some famous furniture maker in Boston in the 1700s.
It was later auctioned by Sotheby’s for over $500,000.
And it will be promptly stolen and sold back to some collector.
In short, she’s an idiot.
FTA: I am thrilled to have played a part in it’s repatriation story.
Should be
“its repatriation story.”

Is it too much to ask these “writers” to proofread?
I’ll only add that the Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City is a phenomenal museum. I have no desire to travel to Mexico again, but it is well worth the time if you’re there.
I used to shop at 2nd stores all the time. Never accidentally bought anything valuable.
