Stonehenge say: "Expect a prison sentence"
...
'Stonehenge is protected by the ancient monuments act and it is a criminal offence to damage the Stones. There are also multiple rare lichen species growing on the stones that are also protected. Expect a prison sentence. '
IDIOTS!.......................
This destruction and vandalism needs consequence and the more immediate the better.
Stonehenge! Where the demons dwell
Where the banshees live and they do live well
Uh, were there no “men” present? Or, if there were, did they realize who would go to jail and who wouldn’t? Gotta hand to the little person with the hat on for going after these assclowns.
Just Stomp Protestors!
>> ‘Expect a prison sentence. ‘
In my opinion, stoning them with big rocks would better fit the crime, and it would be a more permanent solution as well.
“What have these stones got anything to do with their supposed cause?”
This is an offshoot of the Marxist Revolution the college students wanted in the sixties. The idea is to pick some cause that will garner a lot of useful idiots, global warming, stop oil, protect the whales, etc. That gets you a core of protestors, astroturf. Then you get with the radical nut cases in that group, and they do the damage while the others provide cover. The ultimate goal has nothing to do with whatever the current “cause” is. It’s about keeping a low boil of hatred against society. Once you have the email and contact info for that group a subset of them will be available for your next cause, or to start the actual revolution.
They’re jealous that gas is so cheap for me lol
How to win friends, and influence people.
I have more contempt for government and politicians that tolerate this than I have for the lunatics that try stunts like this one.
The UK judges won’t do anything to leftists. The entire govt structure is radically leftist.
They don’t care about what they destroy, just that they get on TV. So entertain their wishes by giving them a public beatdown. It only has to happen once or twice and this trend will end. But not before.
Bless your heart…
Destroy art! Destroy the past! How does that protect the future?
Getting paint out of stone is very difficult.
The restorer has a real problem. If sufficient detergents and scrubbing are applied to remove the paint, it will also remove the patina, which is part of the stone and develops over hundreds of years. The surface of the stone reacts with the environment and changes gradually to a hydrated layer mixed with environmental dust and soot, and biological material. If this layer is removed, stone has been removed.
And once the patina has been removed from one area, that area will no longer match. The restorer then has to choose between leaving the unmatched area, or applying a false patina to blend it in. But then you are painting Stonehenge! Surely that can’t be the right thing to do.
