Confederate names make comeback, triggering lawsuits

A Virginia school district was sued this week after it restored Confederate military names for two buildings, foreshadowing a broader battle that is heating up ahead of the election.

The Virginia NAACP sued the school board in Shenandoah County after it voted to change Mountain View High School to Stonewall Jackson High School and Honey Run Elementary back to Ashby Lee Elementary.

The NAACP argues in its federal lawsuit that students’ constitutional rights were violated by the district’s act of reverting back to Confederate names. It invoked the First Amendment and 14th Amendment in its lawsuit, saying it “prohibits racial discrimination in state-supported institutions.”

”By celebrating the memory of these traitors every time a child walked through the school doors, by embracing the cold wind of intolerance and division and insensitivity, the Shenandoah County School Board has resurrected the ghosts of the Jim Crow era,” NAACP Virginia State Conference President Cozy Bailey said.

How in the hell can the far lefties sue somebody for the naming of their school? These schools need to sue the hell out of these America-hating, Nazi bass turds bringing these lawsuits and then sue them for naming schools after Barry Sombrero. An illegal, non-natural born citizen who posed as president for 8 years. There are a lot of Americans out here who are offended with the names the far-left morons are slapping on OUR schools.

These little bass turds whose “constitutional rights” were violated have no standing over the naming of the school they go to. They can take their crap to some other school named after Nazis and Commies.

The Bolsheviks went through their tearing down statues phase too before the collectivization and then deportations to Siberia.

What is starting to concern me is that they’ve convinced the retards running the states into changing their state flags. The Nazis are trying to erase everything American. We’ve got to stop it. NOW!

No confederate names is prejudiced and exclusionary. Also ignorant, but that’s a freedom.

That's quite a stretch, but I'm sure it will get at least some traction.

I am someone with common sense.

I have an no-negotiation policy to someone telling me not to make a response to people with no values who are trying to destroy our country. If someone comes to visit me about that, then let them also find out.

They just need to come in person. Guns for either side will not be needed at all, so the expression take up arms only applies to their side. If they want to kill me to make a point, go for it. I'm old and do NOT care anymore. When they're ready to start a fight, then get it on.

Please make a real effort not to post something like that towards me again and demonstrate your "common sense". Thank you for your kind attention to this post.

“Racism has nothing to do with it.”

Exactly. The American communists/democrats resent the Olde South because it dared to defy the tyranny of an all powerful central Union government. (The U S Code has a best estimate of 5,189 crimes the Union government of The Land of the Free can can jail a citizen for. Then there is Ruby Ridge, Waco, and countless other examples of the most brutal tyranny, not to mention extortion of wealth/property at gunpoint.)

Shenandoah County after it voted to change Mountain View High School to Stonewall Jackson High School and Honey Run Elementary back to Ashby Lee Elementary.

Great!! Now, we need to bring back offense team names - like the Cleveland Indians, which was named in honor of Louis Sockolikis (I misspelled his name), a Penobscot Indian.

It’s time for America’s military installations to have their names changed back to the original names given to them by great, PATRIOTIC AMERICANS and get rid of the garbage labels applied to them by bottom feeding, lowlife, offended crybabies throwing their little tantrums like they’ve got a load in their Huggies.

Had never heard of anyone named Ashby Lee. Did some checking and the school was named for Turner Ashby (a Confederate) and Robert E. Lee.
