Recent excavations in Pompeii have uncovered a remarkable room with walls painted in a vivid, sky-blue hue, a color seldom seen in Pompeian ruins.
This room, discovered in the Insula 10 area of Regio IX, is thought to have served as a sacrarium, a space dedicated to pagan rituals and the preservation of sacred objects.
The walls of this 8-square-meter room, known as Room 32, are adorned with frescoes in the Fourth Style, characterized by its intricate and narrative aesthetic...
The sacrarium's walls are painted a brilliant sky blue, a color rarely seen in Pompeian frescoes and typically reserved for spaces of great significance. The blue backdrop is complemented by red-lined niches, where statues and other devotional objects likely stood.
The frescoes depict female figures representing the four seasons, agriculture, and shepherding. These figures are adorned with crowns of flowers, flowing garments, and in some cases, depicted without clothes, adding to the room's mystical aura...
Among the discoveries were 15 amphorae, two jugs, two lamps, and three decorative boxes embedded in the walls that likely held devotional statues. Building materials such as piles of oyster shells, intended to be mixed with plaster and mortar, indicate that the house was undergoing renovations at the time of the eruption...
This discovery aligns with the broader context of Roman literature and art, where the pastoral and agrarian themes often symbolized a nostalgic return to simpler times. Works like Virgil's "Georgics" and "Eclogues" celebrated the rural idyll while acknowledging the tension between the idyllic past and the realities of contemporary Roman life. The room's decorations may reflect this cultural ambivalence, embodying both reverence for agricultural deities and a longing for the lost simplicity of rural life.

The people who ran the world until 2017 and still run parts of it are all satanists.
This isn’t the point I was trying to make, but it does tell us we should be aware of the role of satanism. Rather than continue to believe the lie that it doesn’t exist.
It’s a pleasure to hear from you.
No, you were just being your usual troll self. You have no interest in these topics, but post your BS, which is diagnostic of troll behavior.
No, I was saying, I wouldn’t be able to fit on a plane. :^)
Unless you have something intelligent to add to the subject of the thread, get lost.
Some of us are interested in ancient history, archaeology and anthropology; and we appreciate Sunken Civ’s posts very much.
You just seem to use them to promote your fundamentalist bona fides and general a$$holeness. You can do that in lots of other places, even on FR.
Simply because satan worship exits does not mean that we must see it hiding behind every beautiful fresco in Pompeii or any other archaeological site any more than seeing the islamic religion hiding there. I’m pretty sure that not “all” the world leaders in charge until 2017-or now for that matter-are satanists-painting with broad brushes is not a good thing to do-satanism is not the only religion based on evil-that is too narrow a worldview...
Oops-”exists”...
Most of us here really do enjoy your posts and are interested in history and archaeology-please carry on and never mind the trolls...
Thanks T!
Oooh, I get it. And I understand completely!
Thanks!
But I didn’t say it was hiding behind the archeological site.
I only said the satanists will be giddy about the find.
(Not sure why you prefer to allow satanism to remain hidden.)
What if I had said something like “I’m sure the Sisters of Mercy will be giddy about this?”
You wouldn’t have lashed out at me.
Why the tantrum when I mention satanism?
I don’t think you could possibly be as simple-minded as you present. People are correct - you’re a troll.
If exposing satanism is simple-minded, then I do have that kind of simple-mindedness.
And you didn’t present any explanation as to why satanists would have any interest in this-or any archaeological site other than to say they are always interested in pagan sites-so what? so are most people who are interested in archaeology and history. You have been calling one group or another satanists on at least one other thread I’ve seen in the last day or two-a thread that had not mentioned anything do with satan or his worshippers until you posted-I have no idea what your sudden obsession with that subject is about, but you don’t seem to be gaining any traction with it...
This is just his ‘thing’. His ego has convinced him he’s on a ‘mission from God’ to save the world from the devil, and he apparently thinks that every belief system before our modern accepted ‘Judaeo Christianity’ was devil worship. Threads like this just give him an opening to spout.
Best course is to Ignore.
I figured it was an obsession of sorts-which I’m happy to ignore-thanks for the confirmation...
Why do you use the term “gaining traction?”
Attempting to “gain traction” is an entirely foreign concept to me. Maybe we should simply exchange ideas.
